The Industrial Revolution was an age where the shift from human and animal to machine changed how people lived. The revolution gave away to new technology that would later influenced the 21st century. The Industrial Revolution was not all fun and game. The industrial revolution has bad side effect that still affect the world to this day. Many problems of society can be traced back to the days of the Industrial revolution. Although, the industrial revolution brought in new jobs, workers’ salary did not benefit from the industrial revolution.In Document V, a image is shown of multiples families living in the same room. This single disty one room place is called a slum. Slums are thickly populated, run-down, squalid part of a city, inhabited by poor people. Document O goes further into the problems many workers faced other than their house problem. As stated, “ Most workers lack clothing,bed..wholesome food--even potatoes”(Document O). The worker are so poor they are forced to go hungry then can’t even afford to eat a potato. If that was not bad enough, the streets in the cities are overcrowded. As stated, “ ...multitude crowded together in narrow streets”(Document Q). Workers had to not only suffer in poor housing ,but get little food and live in overcrowded areas. These effects still go on to this day. Many poor people in cities still live in slum which show the effect of industrial revolution in modern century.
Unfortunately, the effect of the Industrial Revolution also went to affect overall health. In Document U, a image is shown of a factory releasing smog. In the 18th century an abundance of revolutions occurred. In many people's lives a spark for change overcame them. Many began questioning the authorities and beliefs they were forced to follow before using scientific methods. During the 18th century England benefited from the Industrial Revolution in a small extent. First, the cities of England became extremely unsanitary and very crowded. You rush to get out of bed, seeing that you have to get to work in 30 minutes. You splash some water on your face, brush your teeth, put on some fine factory clothes, pull your hair back, grab an apple and run as fast as a gazelle. Since the beginning of humankind, there were many events that helped the world, but the most important event of all is the industrial revolution which surely helped influence many countries all over the world, but most specifically Great Britain. The industrial revolution caused major changes in Britain, it helped improve farming and trade. It also helped influence Britain scientists and engineers into building many other machines that helped improve the country by making workers life easier.
