Recommended: Effect of drugs abuse on the society

Inappropriate drug use causes loss of responsibility, illnesses, marriage difficulties, shorter life spans, financial struggles, theft, accidents, lack of parenting, bad role models and more laws. Now I’m not saying all the problems are only do to drugs and if there was appropriate drug use our society would be perfect, no I’m saying drug use in our society has made an impact and in this case not for the better. The cost of inappropriate drug use to society is something that many overlook and others simply don’t care to recognize
Many people associate inappropriate drug use with loss of responsibility. The user does not show up on time for work, or if they do they may not be able to work to the best of their ability since they are under the …show more content…

Depending on which drug there are several illnesses that follow. The person taking the drug may get the worst of the illness and or see the effects first hand. However, if there are particles that get airborne people around too can get sick. Most commonly people hear of second smoking, but this second hand effect can be applied to almost every drug. Also many inappropriate drug users pass needles along and get sick that way. One person may have AIDS and there is a little speck of blood within the needle or on the outside tip. The next person to use the needle now has been contaminated and carries the illness. Even if that person now throws away the needle they still, unknowingly, can pass the illness to others by other …show more content…

When inappropriate drug users enter the scene of an accident personally I don’t consider it an accident. Drugs impair judgment so it’s not so much they don’t see the stop sign as maybe they thought it was farther away or the sign did not register in their minds fast enough. If the person uses drugs often enough they have intention of even putting the drugs out of reach of animals or children. Leaving the innocent at risk to consume a drug and an accident waiting to happen.
Being a parent is not easy work, so I’ve heard, you have young minds watching your every move wanting to be like you and learning what is right and wrong. Inappropriate drug users don’t make very good parents, granted there are a few that do, the child is left unattended or if the child is around the user the young mind adapts to the seen behavior. The child grows up and now society has another drug user, maybe not to the same degree, to watch after. Children of today are tomorrows adult’s parents are ideal on how the future generations

If, on the other hand, he took the same drug on his own just because he likes the way it makes him feel, then we should begin to worry about him developing dependence. Even use of illegal drugs are sometimes acceptable, but it also depends on situation, for example in some countries smoking marijuana is legal just like drinking alcohol in United States. Some subcultures even in United States that accept the use of illegal drugs may distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable situation, some college age groups might accept marijuana smoking at a party on weekends, but not just before going to a calculus class.
