Inadequate Funding In Health Care Facilities Due to the lack of funding, many health care facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals are recruiting volunteers, therefore crippling the lives of most patients that need immediate care. There are approximately 85% of nursing homes that have a lower than recommended ratio for patients vs nurses. Some nursing homes also have a higher than recommended number of volunteers (Eaton 37).The inadequate funding in Health Care Facilities are due to insufficient health care provider resources, the high cost of care (regardless of insurance) and the rise of taxes with low income jobs. Long Term Care Crisis has not been addressed because of lack of caring and no one wants to take responsibilities for one’s life and also decreasing budget funding. As the life …show more content…

For example, a large number of occupational needle stick case has been reported due to the poor lock of safety device ( Newson and Kiwanuka1). Having the necessary safety supplies on hand, to treat patients with TB as quickly as possible is an important safety measure. There are also many risk of infections cause by poor hand hygiene practice (Osterhout 2009). Mental Health Facilities are not available because of high cost and insufficient fund. The failure to accommodate places for the mentally ill are leaving no other resort than to unfortunately place them in prison, as a last resort. Despite the concerns for these individuals, there is little that has been done to address the situations ( Greenburg 1). “Until now utilization of home base supportive services has been lowering in part to unlimited availability” ( Greenburg 4). Social Care Funding is focused on creating and expanding health care facilities for the impaired elderly (Gillen 1).
