In spite of the development of family, children and young people’s integrated services to deliver significantly improved outcomes, hard to reach families are still hard to reach. This essay will be investigating the limitations services are faced with when working to support individuals with domestic abuse within the family household. This essay will also be focusing on domestic violence from the viewpoint of the mother and the implications this will have on the family house hold. I am aware that there are men suffering from domestic violence but it is widely seen more in women due to the inequality and injustice of women not always having rights that’s why I have chosen to take this viewpoint.

Education Scotland states that inclusion is about all learners and about taking action to remove barriers to participation and learning. Inclusion also involves eliminating discrimination and promoting equality to involve everybody. When inclusion is not being implemented within social services we are left with families being socially excluded and this is where services have to understand what the problem is in order to help these families. But by including everyone does this mean we no longer have socially excluded families and is it possible to have an inclusive environment.

Arney, F. , Lange, R. and Zuffery, C (2011) considers social exclusion to be “unique interplay of a number of factors, whose consequences is the denial of access to participate in social and political life of the community, resulting not only in diminished material and non-material quality of life but also in tempered life chances, choices and reduced citizenship’’ . Social exclusion is a compelling problem that effects services not being able to follow through with their job because socially excluded families feel that they can not use these services for help because of the situation they are in or
