Inflammation is a strong inducer of colon cancer, and pomegranate extract represses inflammatory cell signaling in colon cancer cells via mechanisms in gene expression modulation, and ellagic acid, made in the colon from the ellagitannins in pomegranate juice, activates apoptosis in colon cancer cells. • Lung cancer. Pomegranate provides significant protection against lung cancer in mice. Scientists observed that 8 months of pomegranate supplementation reduced lung tumor formation by 66%. • Another study showed that pomegranate whole fruit extract suppressed tumor formation in lung implanted mice found pomegranate fruit extract can be a useful agent against human lung cancer.

Cervix is the organ connecting the top of virginal tract and lies at the lower part of uterus. Infection of certain types of human papilloma virus (HPV) can cause cervical cancer. The cervical cancer is commonly diagnosed by progressive clinical procedures. The role of drug membrane transports in Gemcitabine resistant cancer cells P-glycoprotein, encoded by the mdr1 gene, is the first known member of different ABCs pumps in related to MDR [7, 19]. It has been indicated that some tumor cells were resistant to colchicine, Vinblastine, Vincristine, doxorubicin, Daunorubicin, Vinca-alkaloids in general, Teniposide, etoposide, paclitaxel, and other small molecules used in cancer chemotherapy for mdr-1(ABCB1) overexpression[7, 20]. ABCG2 is another MDR factor which offered name instead of MXR/BCRP/ABCP1gene[8, 20-22]. Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms have ABCG2 expression and its high expression was identified in some cancer cell lines which resistant to chemotherapeutic agents, including mitoxantrone, anthracyclines, and camptothecins[8]. It’s also reported both mdr1 and ABCG2 are overexpressed in cancer and normal stem cell based on dye efflux ability [8, 23-26].
Stage III: Cancer is found in the lungs and the lymph nodes along the trachea. It is divided into two types: Stage IIIA: cancer cells are on the same side of the chest as the primary tumor, or spread to the nearby structure. Stage IIIB: cancer cells are on the opposite side of the chest or over the collar bone. Stage IV: Cancer cells are metastasized to either the other lung or to distant organs and lymph nodes outside the lungs Prevention Lung cancer can be prevented by: Quitting smoking tobacco or cigarettes Avoiding being a second-hand
