Introduction Educators want all students to succeed in learning skills in classrooms. However, there are some problems that these students with an LD encounter in classrooms with learning skills. Some of the students have problems with instruction because they are easily distracted. Some of the students are distracted by bullying problems from their peers (Riffel, L. A. 2013, p. 1). The Council for Exceptional Children (2013) explained LD students had lower letter word identification scores, than students without disabilities (paragraph 1). Also, students with LD have lower social skills and struggle with classroom behavior problems. These problems can be devastating and prevent students from learning during instruction. Many students tend to lose interest and motivation about learning skills and they have problems with earning proficient scores in subjects. This qualitative study will describe the urgent need to increase knowledge about the concern to be studied, based on the learning gap. There is a possibility that it could take many more years to improve the achievement gap of students with LD. Therefore, an urgent need exists to continue research studies in this field. According to Dr. Riffel (2013) discussed that educators should develop effective plans that support students learning behaviors during classroom instructions. Educators should help students with LD to manage their behaviors and respect their peers, and stay focused on learning skills in classrooms. This plan should be based on several intervention plans that reinforce desired behaviors for learning in classrooms (p. 4). Today, many New Jersey public school students are losing interest in being educated and working hard to become leaders in our society. Children should be taught and trained to participate in learning skills and using knowledge to demonstrate positive intentions about life. Many students are losing interest because they complain that teachers are not providing motivation in classrooms. The motivation for learning skills should be introduced by the parents and the community. The teachers are in the classrooms to provide instruction about learning. Therefore, teachers, students and parents should collaborate about the purpose of education and why their children attend schools. Parents and teachers should inform students that education is a privilege and it will help them to become great leaders someday.
