CONCEPT 9- IMPORTANCE OF MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM IN HUMAN BODY:
The human musculo-skeletal system also known as the locomotors system provides firm support, stability and movement to the body. It is made up of the bones of the skeleton, muscle, cartilage tendons, ligament joints and other connective tissues that support and binds tissues and organ together.
PERSONAL CONTEXT:
The primary function of musculoskeletal system is to support the body, allowing motion and protecting vital organs. To me, this system describes how bones are connected to other bones and muscles fibers through connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments, the bones provide stability to the body, muscle keep bones in place and also play a role in the movement of bones.
SOCIAL CONTEXT: Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most occupational health problems in both developed and developing countries. This system does a lot of function in the body but when affected can distort the social life of the individual, it can affect the quality of life of most people during their life time.

It is important to know that the skeletal system supports the body weight and without it you cannot stand or sit. The skull protects the brain and it is a bony box that contains cavities for the eyes, ears and the nose. It is very important to also know that the backbone represents the areas of the skeleton. It consists of 33 vertebrae and it contains cartilages between the vertebrae to prevent their function during the motion.
