Many of us seem to think that being spiritual means we have to be religious. Just because you aren’t directly affiliated with a specific religion doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive to be more spiritual. The whole concept of spiritual awareness isn’t all about connecting with a higher divine power, but also connecting with nature and yourself. Once you have established this connection, you will see life from a whole different perspective. People with a highly developed sense of spiritual awareness are often less prone to depression, addiction, manipulation, and control. Its energy is what animates your body. In other words, your physical body acts like a vehicle to house your soul, so that it can experience what it means to live in the material realm. For these reasons, your soul is your true identity. Your body isn’t your true identity, because it’s made of matter, which is made of atoms that are mostly empty space. The space that isn’t empty in atoms isn’t solid, but is actually made of energy. So, what does this mean? It means that matter and your body are more like illusions or projections.
