The Condition of Our Roads Why Is Pavement Repair Necessary? We all say the state of our roads. Those which are subjected to more car traffic are more often maintained, while the roads on other streets are left to crumble. There are many reasons why a road should be in a perfect condition. [cn] has prepared a few facts which will explain why everybody should benefit from properly made roads. Take a look. Energy Efficiency When a road does not have bumps, potholes, cracks, and other imperfections, it will provide you with a smooth ride. However, comfortability is probably the last of a good road's benefits. The less resistance your car's tires go through, the more gas the vehicle saves. Nowadays, along with the development and increase of economical level, the automobile has become an essential and important transport. Also, it leads to another problem: traffic accident. Over the last century, there were more crashes in U.S than the number of the wars that Americans have been through. Therefore, people started to notice that they need the automobile safety to protect themselves. Teens need to be taught that driving is a task that is complex and demanding. Parents know how much experience a young driver has, and they know exactly how inconvenient it is when they have to drive with their teen everywhere while they have their permit. Teens tend to cause most traffic accidents in adults’ eyes. They are not experienced yet, and often fail to pay attention to others on the road. They often think of a car as being some type of toy, but they do not know how powerful it really is. The driver education programs must be strengthened in order to make sure that students really have safer habits, behind the wheel experience, and by having a better understanding of all the laws on the road.
Federal statistics show that drivers, aged 85 and older, are involved in 3 fatal accidents per day (Davis & DeBarros). Currently in the US, less than half of all states require elderly drivers to appear in person to renew their driver’s licenses. Only two states, Illinois and New Hampshire, require elderly drivers to pass road tests before a new license can be issued. Forcing elderly drivers to appear in person is the only thing that has been scientifically proven to reduce fatal accidents because state employees can visibly analyze these applicants for physical impairments (Davis & DeBarros). Elderly drivers put themselves, and others, at a much higher risk of accidents and death due to lack of abilities caused by the aging process. State legislation, countrywide, should impose laws that are stricter to prevent incidence with drivers 65 and older.
Roads, bridges and tunnels are objects that make transportation easier for those that own a car or use public transit. These things allow individuals to travel further for work and other important tasks. Before cars and highways, a trip that would only take an hour, could take an entire day. These innovations also connect many communities together that would not otherwise be accessible to one

It is a serious problem that affects everyone who owns an automobile, as well as, businesses that are dependent on reliable and convenient transportation. To top it all off, this problem is getting worse every year. The population of this nation is growing, which translates to an increase in cars on the road. More people are moving to cities and the suburbs that surround them, creating gridlocks everywhere.
It is the year 2015. Technology immerses us into a pit of pleasure, ease and luxury. We are enlightened by fancy Smartphones, fast computers, and simple online shopping. At this point, the human race is striving to create or destroy anything that is willing to harm us. We are at war against ourselves and we are not taking enough action against the fatal occurrences that happen everyday. We collect data to show the safeties and dangers of activities that we participate in every day, but we continue to emerge ourselves deeper and deeper into the statistic that automobile accidents are. Keeping all road-users aware of statistics, laws, and the dangers of speeding is the key factor in preventing the 2.35 million injuries and 40 thousand deaths

If your state legislature was trying to pass a bill which will require you to earn a high school diploma before getting a driver's license would you be furious or joyous? I would be furious if they were to pass this bill in my state, because part of a teenagers dream is to start driving in high school. If they were to pass the state legislature that would be aggravating for us teens who want to experience driving in high school rather than after it.
Think for a second here, what do you use almost every day to get to where you need to go? An automobile is probably what you are thinking of because just about everyone has one. Automobiles have become so common; nine out of every ten families in the United States own some type of vehicle. Now Imagine going through everyday life without one it would be nearly impossible! Automobiles have had a very positive impact on the world and on many people’s lives. However they have also taken quite a negative effect on the world and in life. ...oing around a curve. It is important to decrease your speed while going around a curve because you need friction to go around them. If there isn't a lot of friction on the road, and you decided to take a tight turn at high speeds then most likely you would end up flipping your car over or getting into an accident that could have been avoided. Also, if there is bad weather and you are going to fast around a curve most likely you will wind up either spinning out or skidding either causing an accident once again or damage to your car. Thus, it is important to lessen your speed while you are going around a curve.
