Question 1 There are three processes that is important in the media .Representation Interpretation and Evaluation. Representation = It is a way how the media reveals a particular communality, groups ,ideas and experiences from a particular perspective that has value or ideology . It represent everything to us, people, pictures, what happened at an event that we couldn’t be a part of. Representation is very important because it inform us about what is happening in the world .Other examples are the movies. Or beer ads, is always connected to party’s. Interpretation = they explain what happened in the event .Make sense of what happened. Interpretation is very important because sometimes when we see things and we make up our own story about what we saw, but that doesn’t mean it was the truth. A picture can mean various things to different people, but only 1 meaning can be the correct one. And interpretation gives us the correct meaning. Examples is live or taped interviews with politicians, musicians, sportsmen and artist. And for press conferences. Evaluation = this is the last process. The media has a huge target audience .In the beginning media was for examples newspapers and everyone read newspapers ,we still read newspapers today .But the media has grown so much over the years and have become more and more popular that we can’t live without it .Media strengthens society and it creates an environment for public opinion . The media can entertain, inform and educate us. Many organisations use the media to communicate to their target audience. Types of media includes Advertising media, Broadcasting media, Electronical media, Mass media, Multimedia, Digital media .
