The issue focused on this essay is having patience in a work place. This topic is important because the phrase "Patience is a virtue" is something soldiers like myself will need to develop in order to become an efficient, competent, and successful leader. While researching I found this article that list five useful practice of patiences and how it can be beneficial for leaders in order to accomplish Army missions. Although I have yet to fulfill the spot of being in charge of others, this article is still knowledge that'll be useful to me.
The first useful tool is " seeing through the lens of others". It’s always easy to quickly judge and share your opinion about how others manage certain circumstances. As a leader, you must be objective enough to step back and remove yourself from personal opinions and begin to see the situation at hand through the other person’s lens.
Remember that people running on empty are prone to grow impatient and lose their cool. Be strong enough to handle the pressure and wise enough to be accountable and resolve the issue. …show more content…

Patience requires a leader to carefully evaluate tension points. How they are managed by others may reveal problem solving patterns that can help anticipate the unexpected and get closer to understanding the root causes of problems. As a leader, you must be extremely open-minded and patient under pressure in order to see it as an opportunity previously unseen. patience can be tested in many ways. Having an open mind can help to understand unique ways that others may approached problems. It will also help to better appreciate others intentions and strategic thought-process.This encounter, while not pleasant, will allow leaders to appreciate thought and ideas from other thinking and skills-sets. Learning from others and teaching them what you've learn from their reaction will also help you, as well as help them to better understand
