Importance Of My Speech

Stepping up to that podium as my name was announced as the next speaker. Full of tears excitement, and nervousness, all I knew was that I had to be strong and confident while making my speech. But exactly how was I chosen for this amazing honor? Flashing back, it all started at Parkway West High School the 2011-2012 school year. I was only a freshman and I came into high school with much ambition. Throughout my High School career I worked very hard, so hard that I became number two in my class by senior year. Just thinking about it I still can’t believe till this day I maintained all A’s and a few B’s every year in high school I thought to be the smartest girl in the school. I then at that point had a flashback of everything that was actually a disparity to me in high school. While in that flashback I begin to write the connection between then and at that current point. Tears begin to roll down my face making the ink smear but I still kept going. Front and back of about 3-4 pages or loose-leaf paper begin to fill up like a (compare to something filled.) My speech then was complete and I felt like an Olympic gold winner so excited and proud sitting there dreaming as if I was jumping in the air with excitement with my speech in my hand. Wow what a feeling! Reality then hit me as I woke up for school the next day. My alarm went off and if you could only see how I looked, my night looked pretty rough. But my speech was complete and all I was waiting for was the day I was able to present it. Being that I connected my feelings so much with this piece of writing was so amazing to me.
