Motivation- Nompumelelo Mnisi (Titi)
As a child I was taught by my grandparents to always work for the greater good of the person next to you and not only put yourself first. Every time my grandfather comes down from America to visit us, he spends only a few days with us and the rest of the month or so teaching underprivileged children maths, as he is an arithmetician and works for the University of Michigan as a lecturer. He often travels to various communities in rural Swaziland accompanied by my sister and I. we spend most of our time helping the communities become more sustainable and developed. We help build one-bedroom houses or shacks, paint schools, donate clothes and books for a new library and, build fences and animal kraals.
In this way, I learnt about the power and satisfaction of helping people and being in a community that loves and supports one another. When I …show more content…

I learnt that in the world you live in you are only as good as your weakest link; instead of trying to discourage and break, others down one must service and support its community in order to achieve belief in your aims and one this is achieved and is effective in accordance with believing in yourself, you will fly.
A friend once taught that no man is an island and really influenced my grade 8 year considering we were taught that I am DSG. That I am only as good as good the next person, that DSG is not only a part of me but it runs through my veins and that I am no longer and ordinary girl but an extraordinary girl.
