Peers are accountable for their commitment and they are free and confidence to be direct when promises are missed and quick to thank others when they are kept. When you can't keep the promise, it's perfect to update all who are affected so that they know well in advance. Team members must understand that the teammate's approaches and insights though different, but can be as valid as their own and this process helps members to understand that others approaches are as good as theirs. In order to build trust in an organization, as a leader, your people want to know your trustworthiness, your commitment, capability and how much you care about them. Put your people first and put yourself last.
Integrity is needed, when making any decision in my opinion. In my current position in my work, not just we are required by the law to be honest and having and integrity helps a great deal to do my job a great many easier. I work on one on one setting and my clients or customers, having integrity doing the right thing is always the priority event know one’s looking. My customers always expect me to tell them the truth and give them educated advice. Of course, doing the right thing in my business sometimes can cause me to lose a customer.
When a person has a strong moral character, they are said to be a person of integrity and to live a honest life is said to be the most important virtue a person can have. Consistency is a concept of ethical integrity and people should act according to their moral principles. In other words, people should do what they say. For example, if a company owner speaks about the need to improve productivity in the workplace, he/she would show integrity for offering in-house training programs for the employees to improve their skills. Moreover, ethical integrity begins from headship, which can result in ethical behavior Integrity is an essential quality that everyone should have because it is an act of being honest and trustworthy in all aspects of life.
The purpose of this paper is to allow the student to discuss what the term “integrity” means to them and to educate the reader on the different levels of integrity on a moral, intellectual, and philosophical standpoint. In addition, the student will discuss how working with or without someone that lack integrity can cause problems in agency workplace for them and for other employee in their environment, and what to do when they have encountered a colleague who is not trustworthy, engages in behavior that is not moral, or display integrity. Lastly, the student will discuss how this paper will help them in the future social work profession. Having the ability as a counselor to pinpoint that there is a moral issue requires the realization that your activity can be harmful or beneficial for the client. This helps you to realize that your moral outlook contains some truth to it. Also, I learned that you should never want to do anything to harm your client and be sensitive to their needs. Moral sensitivity protects the well-being of an entire society. Keeping our emotions together while performing our jobs shows that we know how to behave in an ethical manner.
An organization appears united, successful, and easy to manage when its employees subscribe to similar goals (Suar, Khuntia, 2010). In conclusion, personal values are vital in human beings. Be it personal life, professional life or social life. Personal values help one avoid being in a conflicting, challenging situations and in case one finds him/herself in such; one is able to effectively and efficiently solve, overcome and forget the challenges, while remaining at peace with oneself and others, hence a feeling of mutual understanding and satisfaction. Ignoring values can lead to immeasurable losses in one’s life, as a result, it is the duty of every individual to learn and be aware of one's values and apply them efficiently in ones everyday living, working and relating.
By being a responsible person, others can depend on you and respect you without questioning your integrity. These two values are important to me because I strive to be a respectful and respected person, as well as responsible every day through my actions. If a leader leads by a good example he or she will obtain/gain employees trust which is very important, because it’s the employees who help an organization stay in business. Leaders lead people, and leaders should always do the right things. Most employees tend to look for ethical guidance from others, and a leader within a workplace should therefore be the essential source of such guidance. According to Economy (2013) communication, support and facilitate employees, as well as having integrity are some qualities that make a good leader. Leaders with integrity would make good ethical leaders.
Integrity:- “Integrity is defined as an adherence to moral values” There are Different meanings applied to integrity, the most common meaning refer to integrity as consistency (brown 2005:5) In public, integrity plays a very important role since people who have integrity hold firmly to their views, which support them to act properly in academic, personal and professional circumstances. In the academic community, students of integrity will notice academic standards severely, exchange ideas freely and improve the social acknowledgment of the value of their institutions. In personal conditions, integrity leads individuals to understand who they really are, thus they can be honest to their benefits and ideal life. In the workplace, truth enhances personal commitment to the code of ethics set forth by the profession. Additionally, integrity begins mutual beneficial personal relationships in a community, helps people develop a sense of reliability and responsibility, and fosters their professional competencies.
