Friendship comes from many human sympathies, intelligent conversation and shared goals in The Panchatantra. One of the many things that makes an friendship so valuable is that it allows people to offer sound advice to others more easily to help them through their lives or even favors if needed or requested. AN example being that of the story “How the Crow-Hen killed the Black Snake” (PP 54) in which an dreaded black snake slaughters the children of two crows. The Crow 's wife does not know what they could do but the husband reassures her saying “My dear, even if I have not the power to hurt him myself, I do have friends who are learned who have mastered the works on ethics. This is shown in "The Loss of Gains" where the monkey and the crocodile at first have a kind friendship but because of the crocodile 's wife 's jealousy and fears she asks the crocodile to use his friendship with the monkey to steal the monkey 's heart. The crocodile tries to deceive the monkey and almost succeeds but ultimately tells the monkey the truth and loses him as an friend forever. The crocodiles ' lies were hard on his conscious but he was still a false friend. In "Passion and the Owl" (PP 91) Death itself befriends an swan in the personage of an Owl and leads the swan to it 's demise on the basis of their friendship. “I am returning to my home in Lotus Grove. If you value our friendship and feel affection in your heart for me, please do not fail to pay me a visit as my guest.”. A true friend would not use their friendship to control the actions of someone they cared deeply about especially not to lead them to their death. This is a case where friendship bloomed only to hurt someone else. Even though it seems that friendship can be fine without any negative feelings that 's also just not true. In book one the loss of friends, rusty and lively have an beautiful friendship that has allowed the two to connect with each other on a

Friendship can be debated as both a blessing and a curse; as a necessary part of life to be happy or an unnecessary use of time. Friends can be a source of joy and support, they can be a constant stress and something that brings us down, or anywhere in between. In Book 9 of Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle discusses to great lengths what friendship is and how we should go about these relationships. In the short story “Melvin in the Sixth Grade” by Dana Johnson, we see the main character Avery’s struggle to find herself and also find friendship, as well as Melvin’s rejection of the notion that one must have friends.
Aristotle regards Virtue Friendship as perfect. He does not comment on the potential negatives, whereas Lewis more realistically presents possible dangers of his highest form of friendship. Lewis believes that the birth of friendship proper from companionship reveals friendship’s dark and idolatrous side. Lewis comments on the sense of inclusiveness between friends that can create an “us/them” tension that can be potentially dangerous. He believes there is danger in the sense that a partial indifference or deafness to the voices of the outside world may develop and morph into dangerous perversions of
Friendship in The Pact Friendship is a huge part of everyone's life, whether they know it or not. In some way shape or form, everyone needs relationships. In the book The Pact, friendship is huge. Three boys George, Sam, and Rameck become best friends and you could say that they saved each others lives. Not physically but in a sense that without the pact they made, their lives might not be where they are today.
Aristotle considers friendship to be a necessity to live. He claims that no individual would chose to live without friends even if the individual had all of the other good things in life. He also describes friendship as a virtue and as just. Given the above statements on friendship, it is safe to say that Aristotle felt that friendship is something that every human must have in order to reach a peaceful state of mind. It has all of the qualities of good as long as both parties of a friendship are considered good. Therefore, the role of friendship in a society is to promote goodness between all parties involved in it.
A friendship is a bond shared with another person, typically of common interests. A friend is honest, loyal, faithful, and trustworthy. It's someone you can share secrets, memories, fears, and dreams with. They stand by you despite arguments or disputes that might arise. Friendships can bring joy, as well as pain; friends want the best for each other, and sometimes sacrifices must be made. In Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck speaks of the advantages and pitfalls to a friendship.
The Pact There is not much that separates our kind from lower species of life. Our intellect, communication skills and opposable thumbs are a few of the many advantages to being a human. Human’s ability to construct a deep and rewarding lifelong friendship is no less incredible than any of the previously mentioned traits. These friendships are an integral part of our lives each and everyday, and friendships that last can certainly help lead to ones success later on in life. I have had many very close friends in my life and they all have helped me in their own way.
Since men act in ways that bring their lives happiness, it is generally found that friendship brings happiness; however different kinds of friendship bring different types of happiness. Regardless of the type of friendship, what can be agreed and accepted is that the best type of friendship will be virtuous. “[G]oodwill, when it is reciprocal being friendship… To be friends, then, they must be mutually recognized as bearing goodwill and wishing well to each other” (Nicomachean Ethics, 8.2, 1155b-1156a 34- 5). Friendship requires reciprocal well-wishing, and mutual awareness based on lovable qualities, such as the good, the pleasant and the useful. By analyzing these three kinds of friendship, it will be proven that the friendship is a virtue or rather a good action.

Friendship is a bond that brings society together as a whole. The article, “Friendship in an Age of Economics” by Todd May describes six friendships that pertains to life. In the Of Mice and Men excerpt, the reader meets two characters, George and Lennie, and their friendship is shown. Of the six friendships, in “Friendship in an Age of Economics,” the true friendship, developed by Aristotle, is used in Of Mice and Men through George and Lennie’s relationship because of how they act towards each other, and how they take care of one another through many different ways.
I would define friendship as complete trust and love between two people. Many people believe that this kind of behavior is reciprocated between two individuals without any expectations. A friend is someone who also provides you with support and whom you can rely on to celebrate special moments with. A friend also comes with many great attributes; such as loyalty, honesty, compassion, trust, and morality. Today’s friend is viewed as someone who shares happiness, common values, history, and equality with another. For example, Aristotle and Cicero both wrote dialogues about friendship and its significance on mankind. Therefore, the key issues that will be discussed are: their views on the similarities of friendship, the differences between friends,

Can everyone imagine if there is no friendship in the world? Nobody will care about one another. Friends are the pillars of strength that give support and comfort in life "A hedge between keeps friendship green”. Friendship is the one of the medium that can build unity among community. As Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of United States, once said, “Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together”, I strongly agree to his statement because friendship teach to help one another, learn to accept each other and build trust and faith towards each other.
