Family has always been a strong unit in every culture and usually important within most societies. In a way it is the cornerstone of society as a whole. Family is one of the most basic institutions however it carries the most importance. It helps grow the child’s future thoughts, actions, and behavior towards society. Many functionalists view family as a positive institution as they believe it acts positively in the way that is reproduces social stability. Functionalists also view a family as nuclear, or in other words as just the parents and their children. Family starts small or more “nuclear” with two spouses. Whether it be the traditional man and woman or same sex marriage, all of these are accepted in our society. True family however will not exist for some for many years until the young can create their own. We believe that family is the basis for modeling people into who they become within society as a whole. In this society everyone relies on family as the backbone to their success and living. Everyone is closer within the family unit and usually families grow larger and larger due to marriage. However, while family units grow larger the strength and bonding within the families stays the same. There is hardly any fighting within families due to the strength within the families themselves that keep problems from ever getting out of hand. There is a rigorous screening done before marriage to prevent any infidelity or hatred within. This helps keep the family from imploding due to the wrong person entering and joining the family unit. Also, the problem of not having enough time with the family was alleviated as well. Since one problem with the families was not enough time together labor jobs were given to robots who were invented to work within just one task. Well get more in depth with the creation of these robots later. Since we eliminated inequality within the lifestyles and eliminated the need for currency it leads to less jealousness of others allowing families to live happier.
