English Composition is very helpful when starting your college career. I have learned and improved in many ways including: comma usage, citing pages, and word choice. This class not only is a requirement of almost every major, but also helps prepare you for other classes that require writing assignments. English has never been one of my favorite subjects, let alone, one I liked that much in general. I would always come into class, wait till last minute, and throw some words together. Of course, being in high school, whatever I wrote was usually a pretty good grade, because it was high school and I took the easier English classes. This English classes requires certain words not be used including: things, very, really, there are, there is, contractions. I am not going to lie and say I do not make those mistakes anymore, because I do. I just do not make them as often. "There are other development potentials in the southern Vietnam region that make it a primary dynamic economic region"(Essay 2). This is the first mistake I made with my word choice. More mistakes would have been made if it was not for Mrs. Kim showing me how to search those words on the page. "According to the Association for Psychological Science, studies show that under depression while suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, individuals tend to be irrational and perceive things in an unrealistic manner" (Research Paper 1). "In the US, other than just setting the annual veteran’s day, such things do not happen" (Research Paper 2). I know it is bad, twice I said "thing" in my last essay, but that just goes to show do not get too comfortable. I am the type of person whom learns something, and feels like a professional.
