The occupation of an environmental scientist is a highly rewarding career dedicated to researching and identifying ways to preserve the earth’s environment and the resources it provides. Throughout the process of investigating a future career in environmental science, an empathetic feeling is felt for the way the global biosphere is being exploited. As more and more human beings inhabit the earth, the biodiversity of plant and animal species is continuing to decrease. The available natural resources that humans utilize as necessities for basic life are also growing slim as the population increases. Environmental scientists, analyze air, soils, water, food and other materials to possibly find solution strategies to these issues (United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics sec.
In the long run, I see myself as a part of a leading research group, either as a faculty member or in the R&D department of an organisation contributing my bit to the field of Chemical Engineering. As a research scientist, I hope to make a difference in this field and learn more through the innovative challenges. My father, being a chemical engineer, inspired in me an innate desire to be a chemical engineer myself. I appeared for the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) and was placed in the top 1% of the 1,100,000 students who had taken the exam. I chose Chemical Engineering as my undergraduate major at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur which provided me the opportunity to explore the breadth of chemical engineering.
I, a Chemical Engineer by qualification and a teacher by passion, want to pursue my MS degree course in the field of Chemical Engineering. I have strong inclination towards energy, renewable energy and environmental science. I want to work on the industrial application of Chemical Engineering in order to leave a greener and brighter planet for the generations to come. My interest in energy and power generation dates back to my childhood when I grew up seeing electricity crisis and increasing prices of fuel in my country. I believe that energy is the backbone for the world’s growth and as the means of conventional power generation have limited potential, I strongly believe that its my responsibility to contribute in the field of research related to non-conventional ways of power generation.
Caring About Our Environment Improving and maintaining the earth’s environment is becoming a more important task every day of our lives. Due to ignorance and frequent carelessness, this important task is quickly becoming a critical one. For this reason, I took it upon myself to construct a strategic plan to enlighten my peers to the problems of our environment. I did this in hopes that it would encourage everyone to act responsibly towards improving and maintaining the environment. With ongoing threats to the earth’s water supply, atmosphere, and surface, I found it necessary to devise a method of environmental enlightenment.
Personal Statement As a graduate applicant to the MEng program in Petroleum Engineering, I am writing my ideas, thoughts and the reasons to pursue this program at C. I have come across several fields of petroleum exploration and production during my undergraduate and graduate studies. After long deliberations and self-assessment of my capabilities, my academic background, industrial exposure, research interests and my professional goals, I have chosen this discipline to pursue my graduate studies. My excellent academic training both at undergraduate and graduate levels, academic achievements and rigorous study habits have provided me the necessary set of skills to apply for a challenging program of Petroleum Engineering. I did my undergraduate studies in Instrumentation Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation Systems Design. From the beginning, I had a keen desire and passion of learning how chemical and industrial plants work with such a great efficiency.
Experience and collaboration are essential to teaching and, by persevering, every educator can benefit from each role the profession demands. All in all, the rewards of being an educator far outweigh the challenges. And, when a challenge to instruction arises, an effective educator can still profit by adapting and learning from the experience. Being an educator is a learning experience that contributes to individual development and, most importantly, makes a lasting impact on society and the lives of young children. Being an advocate for future generations and making a lasting impression is the greatest reward that triumphs any challenge an educator faces.
Forming a philosophy of education is not as simple as it might sound. In articulating my teaching philosophy, I assess and examine myself to identify the goals I wish to achieve and accomplish in teaching. It is important to possess a philosophy of education as it guides my instructional decisions and provides stability, continuity, and log-term guidance. I believe that the teaching philosophy represents a clear and distinctive organizing vision of why I am doing what I am doing. Developing a personal philosophy of education allowed you to increase your being professional by providing a concrete form of reference for reflection, although many years of experience in the fieldwork would definitely help you to improve and enhance your teaching skills.
Chemical engineering is one of the oldest and core fields of engineering. You might be wondering what exactly chemical engineering is all about. “Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies physical sciences, physics, chemistry, life sciences, microbiology and biochemistry, together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals, materials and energy. “Chemical engineers work to improve the quality of people 's lives. Most items used by people every day have needed chemical engineers to produce them” (Why study Chemical Engineering at Cambridge?
Following the size and diversity of its economy, environmental risks are immense and are caused by both poverty and prosperity. Environmental sustainability could become the major challenge as India moves ahead on its growth trajectory. Climate... ... middle of paper ... ...ffected by this global phenomenon as there have been changes in the rainfall patterns in the region affecting the availability of water, people have to travel long distances to fetch water in places where historically there was no shortage of water. Climate change has also affected the livelihood of the people making them more vulnerable to the adversities of nature. The asset base of the people has grown weak in recent times.
Since the dawn of the industrial revolution, human kind has dramatically transformed societies in many regions of the world to meet the demands of a rapidly growing population. This has placed much stress on the environment and humans as well. There are two sides to the crisis that must be noted. Firstly, one must observe the impact of societal and human development on the environment, and secondly observe how the impacts we make are forced back upon humanity itself. For instance, the population expansion in the global north and south, has made poor countries more vulnerable to the impact of environmental damage.
