Believing in Myself Stephen Leacock, economist and humorist once said, "I am a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." I agree with Leacock because the harder we work the more luck we got. We tend to create our luck whether it’s good or bad. We won 't have to worry about our luck in the final exams; we just need to study hard to get lucky and pass. The most we study the most luck we got. It 's true. A crucial moment I remember when I got very lucky was the one when my teacher Bryan Avila, a winemaker of Napa Valley College came to me and told me that my wine was the best of the class. I felt proud of my wine and started to believe in myself.
All of this happened over this last spring semester at Napa Valley College. I decided to take an advanced wine making course. This Winemaking course was about to produce a Cabernet Sauvignon wine. I decided to take this course because I had take a lot of wine classes that make …show more content…

This made me felt unsure of what I was doing with my wine. Now, I believe that would never pass the course because it had a horrible aroma to oak chips. Moreover, I remember when I taste my friend 's wine I felt it was better than mine. I can feel the fresh of the American French oak and smell the soft of a vanilla aroma in the wine. However, I decided to continue in the course and work hard on my wine by pressing and doing punch- down three times every day to obtain a better color to my wine, adding dry ice two times during the week to maintain my wine out of oxidation, and checking the Brix, PH, TH every third day to make sure the sugar and the acidity were in his right point. I continued working hard during the rest of the course doing all of this things trying to create a wine that at least can pass the
