Impacts Global Warming

It has been talked about for years as an environmental concern of not only the United States, but the rest of the world. Global Warming. But is it truly what people have been told for their entire lives? Is it just a fluke of nature, or caused by human hands? Is there a way to stop it from furthering? The world may never know. (Mr. Owl, Tootsie Pops).

Global Warming is interpreted in many different ways depending on the current standpoints of society and the environment or the seasonal climate outside the front door. I past years there was no concern with global warming, it wasn't even recognized as a problem. In more modern times global warming has become a serious issue especially as scientists continue to find out more information as to the impacts of it. Despite these efforts, it is still widely misunderstood for its lack of long term research. It is known, however, that Global Warming has large impacts on the world including the increased intensity of heat waves, an increase in the spread of disease, and the melting of the Polar Ice Caps (NASA).

According to the International Paper of the United States “Climate change, or global warming, refers to any significant change in measures of the earth’s climate, such as temperature, precipitation, or wind that persist for decades or longer” (International Paper). This is a natural occurrence in the world, it is expected to happen. The climate gets warmer, the rain starts to fall faster before eventually receding and becoming cooler again. If these changes did not occur, the ecosystem would build up resistance to negative items that affect it, changing the way different parts interact with each other.
