The prophets had predicted the birth, life and death of the Son of God, the Savior of men, since the earliest of centuries. The lack of historical records causes debate over the exact specifics of his life due to the fact that the existence of Jesus had occurred more than two thousand years ago. The primarily used sources are the four canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Although there is no set date in the Holy Bible, the 25th of December, also commonly known as Christmas Day, is when the birth of Jesus is celebrated and proclaimed. The Virgin Mary, betrothed to Joseph of Bethlehem, was told by an angel that she was to conceive baby Jesus by the miracle of God’s plan and Holy Spirit. The citizens of Jerusalem were waiting for this event to come, the event of his birth, since it has been foreshadowed by the prophets. Finally, the day was approaching when Jesus was to make his arrival. It may be shocking to believe that the holy child of God, born guide humans into everlasting life, was born in a stable in Bethlehem. The reason for this is because Jesus came in the world in humility and poverty to identify with the poorest and weakest among society. The miraculous birth of Jesus Christ began the ongoing road to fulfill his eternal purpose.

Matthew 1:1-17 beings his Gospel, “A record of the origin of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac… and Jacob begot Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.” Jesus is emphasized to be of royal origin, hence being titled the son of David, and is also indicated that he is a Jew through the words son of Abraham. ...ven himself as so much more. Not only is he the Son of God, but he is a friend and the Savior for the multitude of followers that hold belief in his greatness. Jesus built the bridge over the chasm that previously separated us from God by conquering death and later resurrecting for all who put their faith in him. No single person’s life has altered the course of history like Jesus’. Through his lifelong message that inspired positive changes to the lives of his followers, many influential people in the future had become great after acknowledging the worthiness of Christ. Jesus Christ’s impact is proven everlasting and will never perish because Jesus lives today within all those who trust and believe him and continuously enriches our lives. As the Scripture of John 13:7 says, “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”
