Illegal Migration In The Movie Elysium

Regarding the movie “Elysium”, illegal migration is the first thing that came into my mind. I quite remember the first scene where the lucky ones who survived the whole journey to Elysium without being attacked in the middle of the escape ran and tried to survive once they reach their destiny. A lot of them were killed only a mother who carried her disabled daughter managed to escape to a civilian resident and get her daughter cured by a Med-Bay. When the daughter was reconstructed, her mother held her in her arms with joy and hope, aspiring a bright future ahead. The next minute, polices found them and took them apart brutally. Even this movie is quite a bloody piece that strikes my heart through out the entire lecture, I personally really enjoy watching movies that are politically and socially related. When something goes against their will, throwing out bombs is just as easily as throwing a ball. I recall watching a movie name “Eye in the sky”, a military thriller about British military force airstrike the extremist groups and harmed innocent civilian lives. To achieve certain goal, innocent lives are taken. Like max, to keep his job he was forced to walk into a radiating machine. Why power and rights of others life are put in the hands of the rich or the authorities? Also I would like to share some of my opinion on refugee. Seeing the people on earth tries so hard to leave to Elysium reminds me of people escaping from North Korea. I had been reading a book name “Escape from North Korea”, about a journalist telling stories of the people who escaped from North Korea. A successful refugee went to the United States and when he was asked about the one thing he missed about North Korea, he replied: “the darkenss”.
