Identity theft is when a criminal steals your identity such as name, social security, and more to commit crimes. This person that steals the identity can use it to apply for credit, file taxes, or get medical services all against you. All of these can ruin a good credit score or cost you some money in the long run. Identity theft can be such a negative effect on technology is so many ways. Some negative effects that identity theft has on people are Financial Problems, Credit Issues, Benefit Losses and etc. To get more in depth into the the negatives. First off, financial Everyone just need to spread the world and make awareness for identity theft. Identity theft can be reported to the Federal Trade Commission online or over the phone. This can help more than simply one person from losing their identity to someone. This can be stopped by everyday people. Helping one person will help the next just as much. Identity theft can happen to almost anyone if they do not protect themselves properly.
