Would you dare to travel to a whole new world in the old 1587? In 1587, a colony travel to a place where it’s called the New World, little is known about them but they were looking for a better life. The transition to the New World would be difficult for the British to start a new colony because of the works, responsibilities, and war. First, a day in the New World can be involved with a lot of hard works. In the text it said, “On Roanoke Island, the women were likely up before dawn collecting wood and preparing the cooking fires.” This example shows in order to live in a whole new world, they had to work really hard. At noon, they had to do the laundry, preparing meals, and take the meal that they prepare to the men that are working. The afternoon’s schedule was filled with gardening, baking bread, mending clothing, and sewing garments. As they were learning more about the English, they didn’t paid attention to what they were taking, but what the Secotan wanted the most were...war.
