Hi Ladies, During the holidays, if you're lucky, someone will say "What do you want for Christmas?" You quickly rattle off a list of things you've been coveting all year, or you say, "Just a gift card, thank you" Some of us believe that Christmas isn't just about presents and spending money, and ask for nothing at all. I'm not sure I fit completely in one category, but when Dad and the boys say "What do you want for Christmas?" I draw a complete blank. I don't understand it. All year I'm wishing I could have those funky shoes from DSW, or the latest laptop or camera (for my blog, of course), or a collection of polishes that are just outside my budget. But when you ask me for my wish list, my brain disappears, I hear crickets chirping inside …show more content…
[sarcastic understatement] I can't begin to list what I have, and I won't try to. I love MAC, Too Faced, Urban Decay (ohhh Urban Decay) Smashbox, Lorac, Stila, Tarte, The Balm...and on and on. But, I find myself regularly wearing only one brand. Makeup Geek (MUG). I might love the others, but I'm addicted to Makeup Geek shadows. They beat out MAC any day. Yes! I said it, and I'm not taking it back. The formula is like butter, the colors are outstanding, and they're as pigmented as Urban Decay and Lorac! Yes, I said it, and I'm not taking that back either. And you know what else? MUG has the best collection of matte shadows you'll ever find, and they're about half the price of most high end brands. Marlena, the creator of Makeup Geek cosmetics, has outdone herself with her eye shadows. I started off purchasing just a few, and before I knew it I had collected the majority of her collection. Today, I'm going to show you a few of my favorites. I like a matte shadow on my brow bone. I used to use ABC Gum (Already Been Chewed... so cool) by Urban Decay. It was the perfect amount of creamy nude peach. But when I discovered Makeup Geek I fell in love with Peach Smoothie. I keep three (purse, home,
Christmas was originally supposed to be a celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ. Modern historians suggest that Christ was actually born sometime in April, but that is hardly the point; the point is that a day on which to celebrate his birth and life was needed, and so one was chosen. During the season surrounding this holiday -- especially since it coincided with that of other, similar holidays -- it was thought right to honor Jesus by acting as he did, i.e., in a kind, generous, and forgiving manner. Out of this sprung the custom of giving gifts to loved ones on this holiday.
Dark eye shadow will minimize eyes while light shades make them stand out. If in doubt, neutrals are always the safest picks.

Make up has been around for about 12 thousand years. In this paper making to talk about the different make up their development of each. Some of the makeup history that I’m going to talk about are lipstick, mascara, eye liner, Eye shadow, body painting and a little about nail polish. I’m also going to talk about who wear makeup. I am going to explain why they wear makeup and what it meant to wear makeup.
5. Lavish - Matte brown shade (it's more on taupe side). Can be used to define crease. This one feels a bit chalky when I apply it on my eyelids! :(

All women wish to look their best on their wedding day, prom, or their ten year anniversary, so it is a makeup artist’s job to fulfil this desire. The art of emphasizing one’s most attractive features by highlighting the inner corner of the eye to brighten the eyes, contouring the cheeks to make the cheekbones appear higher and painting on bold lipstick to form perfect, plump lips make the face appear flawless. Some people do not wear makeup everyday, so when they do, their face can appear brightened and awake, therefore they believe they look wonderful. Although many people are confident in their appearance and do not demand makeup to boost their self-esteem, wearing well-applied makeup will always make someone feel
Although modern makeup has been used mainly by women traditionally, gradually an increasing number of men are using cosmetics to enhance their own facial features. A lot of people don’t quite accept men wearing makeup nowadays but in my opinion it’s a way to express yourself. The guys who do use it tend to think that they’re the exception rather than the rule. One in 10 men wore makeup, according to a 2013 British consumer research study, with 71% of them breaking out the concealer — but the majority of cosmetic-wearers reported that they wouldn’t dare tell anyone. Despite the views on men and makeup it should be accepted because everyone is equal. Many celebrities have created makeup. Kylie Jenner has created lipsticks, lip liners, and lip glosses called Kylie Cosmetics. The Kardashian sisters have a makeup line all together. Another person would be Tyra Banks, who recently dropped an entire makeup line. Tyra also gives the opportunity for people to sell her makeup. One of my personal favorites is the tattoo artist Kat Von D who teamed up with beauty brand Sephora to launch her rocker-themed makeup collection. Many celebrities also sponsor and market makeup. Teaming up with covergirl, Urban Decay, Loreal, Maybelline, Mac, and many other brands. Makeup trends this year include drawn in eyebrows, winged eyeliner, contouring and highlighting, mauve lip colors(emphasized
The usual Christmas time, the joy of festivities and much more. Little Sally was watching television with her mother when she had asked “Sally, what would you like for Christmas this year?” Sally knew exactly what she had wanted this year, not only seconds after thinking of what she would like...BAM! The advertisement for her guitar set was on the screen “Right there, Mom! That is what I want!” Being said, there are multiple ways to catch the interests of buyers. With the multiple ways of catching the buyer's interests, the most effective ways are Humor and Story.
Hello Everyone, First, thank you for the Christmas gifts. They are very nice and appreciated and we will find a nice place to put them. The wooden plaque of Cheryl will go nicely on the wall I have reserved for the family tree. I have several family pictures there already. I also Love the Lantern.
Soha Ahmed, Audrey Cruz, Curran Rooney English II Honors Higgin 10 January 2017 Evolution of Women's Makeup The styles of makeup over the years differ vastly from era to era. Every style of makeup has a purpose to highlight important features of a face. Women wear makeup the way they do to accentuate their natural beauty. [Pause] Makeup has always made me feel so happy and brings me joy, and I don't think it is right to look down on anything that brings anyone joy - unless it is illegal of course. [Pause] The important realization about makeup is that no individual needs it. In my teens, I developed an unhealthy relationship with cosmetics. I viewed makeup as a mask because I had such bad redness on my face. Today, at aged 20, I don't use makeup as a mask, but I definitely like to wear liquid foundation. I usually use "Kat Von D Foundation" **shows foundation to class* because it has really good coverage and works great for sensitive skin like mine. Foundation also gives me that "airbrush" effect and it is genuinely a huge confidence boost. After the foundation, I put concealer under my eyes, which is the "Maybelline Fit Me Concealer" **shows class the concealer**. Concealer is a type of foundation that conceals and gets rid of dark under-eye circles. You all can't see them right now on my face thanks to this lovely concealer but trust me… the circles are there. There is some sort of psychology involved here, because when I conceal my dark circles,
Just like the constantly changing fashion world, makeup fads come and go. However, what never changes is the correct approach to applying makeup to achieve the ultimate goal of looking the best you possibly can.
The second direct competitor to Chanel is L'Oréal, the world's largest manufacturer of high-quality cosmetics, perfumes, and hair and skin care products. In the chart below, it lists the US female fragrances brand share by value from the 2002 Tablebase data. The chart shows how the Lancôme perfume Tresor, Estee Lauder and Chanel are in relation to each other.
