It is me your child Jessica Brar. I would like to start off by acknowledging you and all you have done for me, from hearing my cries, to sticking with me at difficult times, and forgiving me when I have sinned. Hence, I comprehend I shall not come to you for my littlest concerns, but child marriage is something I would like to come to an end. Moreover, many of your children including myself are blessed because we have freedom of speech and are given rights, such as the right to learn, but I strongly believe we take advantage of this. I am requesting potential help in reducing child marriage rates 1 million starts with 1 and I think I could be the one to start a change.
With all due respect I feel it is unfair that girl's in 2nd and 3rd world countries are being married off young to repay their families debt. Meanwhile, females who live in great 1st world countries are increasing their parent's debt by doing things like drugs, trafficking, and skipping class. The females who have the desire to learn and peruse their educational dreams are being tortured, raped, or forced to do things that go against their will, which completely goes against human rights and solidarity. Innocent girls do not deserve this, child marriage is

The female's that only want a simple opportunity have no voice and are being unjustly treated. I want to be the voice of those who do not have theirs heard. Nonetheless, daughter's are looked upon as burdens and claimed to be, "one less mouth to feed" as soon as they are married. Freedom of peace is gone against in child marriage because female's are married off to a male most likely twice their age and someone they have not seen before, which could lead to miscommunication and no time to practice living in a peaceful environment (since they both posses different morals and values based on their relationship and
It is believed that women are very influential in almost every aspect. According to the bible, Also, Almighty Samson was brought down by a woman called Delilah. Furthermore, Abigail saved his husband Nabel from death in the time of King David. From these facts, if females are banned from being involved in child marriages and allowed to further their education, Africa and the globe is going to be developing at a very fast rate. But this is the case where these young women under the ages of 18 are sent or even forced into marriages due to the factors above and they cannot further their education.
Hello, Alexa and Luis, Congratulations! I hope that this letter of advice is helpful to the both of you as you embark on this new journey called marriage. I know that besides being excited, you may have some questions about maintaining a marriage strong. These questions are normal. Marriage is not like your average friendship.
Imagine, being denied something, just because you were born a girl. This was the case for all women in the past, and still is today for too many women and girls living in countries all around the world. The lack of women’s rights and gender equality is an issue that affects every country to some extent. An issue that so many people and organizations are trying to fix, but it is no easy feat. Women all over the world are living under inadequate circumstances because they don 't have any authority in their lives. If women were able to have control over certain aspects of their lives they would be happier and healthier. When women have choices about their education, reproduction and marriage, and jobs,
I admit; I am a person who can confidently say that they enjoy public speaking. So obviously, I had no clue on what to write this speech about. Of my large list of ideas, none seemed just right. Eventually, I settled on the topic goal setting. But, again, it just wasn't it.
Also, marriages from child brides 16-17 have Declined to an all time low (“Child Marriages” 2). For also young girls dealing with child death fell 32% and infants that are younger than a year old fell 38%(“Child Marriages” 2). So even tho their might be some bumps along away. This being tradition, set morals and changing habit we can make a change. We as a society are on our way.
In 1948, the universal declaration of human rights declared, “the right to free and full consent to a marriage” and it “cannot be ‘free and full’ for when at least one partner is very immature” (Unicef 10). Child brides are violation of human rights given to each and every human being. Usually communities leaders or religious leaders will not follow these laws. Families follow other families and it is a continuing pattern. Marriage is a choice and these underage girls are getting their rights taken
It Is time that the Women and Children of the United States of America start being treated with dignity and respect. For this reason, The problem In America Today involving women and children is that they do not have human rights or a future to look onto. So you may ask what makes it so hard for our brothers and sisters of america to strive for greatness in america today? Well, It is hard enough for them to live even with different situations going on in this world today. For the most part they do not have human rights or an opportunity to voice their opinions.
I have known that this day would come ever since my son informed his Dad and I, at the tender age of 4, that he was pretty sure that he was heterosexual and that he truly loved women and their boobies. In addition, the arrival of this day was further confirmed to me when Kristofer was in 1st grade and announced, on the way home from school, that “someday” he planned to marry a girl who was “Very loving and very beautiful and drives a white mini-van”. It is apparent that you fit all the criteria, albeit the white mini-van. I also knew at a very young age that Kristofer is a man of self-assured strength, and determination. I always knew that when he was ready he would commit to the girl of his dreams that he would and that he would intend on honoring those vows.
I thank you for your lengthy Judgement dated: I welcome your judgement, and I appreciate that you are the only Judge that has expressed concern about the length of time my case has been going on unresolved. I am delighted you have pointed out the children’s right, and the importance of having a balanced upbringing, by having both parents in their lives. Being in Court is very nerve-racking, I apologise deeply if the impression I gave in Court was agitated, which was due to the importance and sensitivity of that Court hearing, determining the future relationship between my children and I. Living in Torquay for the past 39 years of my life as a member of the local community, maintaining good character, and good name, is evident of who truly
Because of this societal issue, our views of the opposite gender are with bias. Instead of our views being based on equal respect, they are weaved on our expectations of the opposite gender that passed from generations to today. In The Handmaid’s Tale, Ofglen says “I almost gasp: he said a forbidden word. Sterile. There is no such thing as a sterile man anymore…..There are only women who are fruitful and women who are barren, that’s the law.” (Atwood, 79) This quote shows how although we know that men in some instances can be unable to have children, their republic only thinks that the women are the problem and no man can. This is an example of what can happen if we continue to have expectations for the opposite gender. This would lead to the ultimate inequality. I think that I can play a small role in this issue in today 's society, but to actually have an impact there will have to be a bigger voice. There are many possibilities to help solve this problem completely. For example, I could start a small campaign addressing the segregation of people by sex in the workforce and in society in places where it needs to be addressed, to spread the word that it really doesn’t matter what gender we are. If that does not have an effect, this can be lightly embedded in a middle school and high school curriculum, so that at least there would be a new generation that could grow up having equal respect for one another,
Yes, change is hard but if we start changing societies view and continue help change little by little we can create a world where women are just as equal to men Works Cited Too Young To Wed. org. United Nations Population Fund. Web.
There was a time in the world when women were without basic rights and required the power to make decisions about their own lifestyle. They weren’t educated to the same standard as men. They weren’t allowed to work, they weren’t even allowed to inherit property. Everything belonged to their husband or family. There were no women in the police force or government and women weren’t even allowed to vote. Men’s power over women often cost their lives , the physical power is obvious. But there is also emotional power. Yet, after many years, women and men are still not equal. Women and girls should be able to lead a free, equal and self-determining life in every corner of the world just like men do so.
Whether in the past, the present or in the future, we as females have rights and those rights should be upheld and kept regardless of where we are in the world. We should not be worried about our safety and the safety of our families where ever we go. We should be protected by the law and not be sold by the ones who sworn to uphold the law. We should be loved and cherished by the ones we love and not be humiliated by them. The time for change starts with us looking for that change.
Because of child marriage many kids lose the opportunity to continue with school. When kids don’t go to school they lose out on many employment opportunities to help the household financially. When children miss out on employment opportunities it keeps the cycle of poverty going. Parents should not be marrying off their children so young just because they cant provide for them, there is other options instead of throwing out your daughter. Every child is valuable and deserves to live a childs life and have fun and just worry about being a kid instead of having a grow up while still yet a child. Each child should enjoy their child years, it only happens once and then real life hits, no child should be deprived of a childhood. Parents should step up and take responsibility for the life that they brought into the world. These countries that waddle in child marriage are some of the poorest because the cycle of poverty starts all over again as these two people joined together have to figure out to make finances work when they couldn’t even finish school to get a good job. Parents should let their children be children, their lives should be more valuable than any money they can get for marrying off their
Child marriage, defined as “a formal marriage or informal union before age 18, is a common phenomenon for both boys and girls, although girls are disproportionately more affected than boys.” (author, 2016) Child marriage is a widespread issue and it has a grave affection on the society and children’s life. So child marriage should be banned due to girls suffering sexual abuse by their husbands.
