Hello everyone,
I hope you are all having a wonderful time, helping my husband and I celebrate our wedding. I know it wouldn’t be the same without all of you here. So it’s because of this, I want to propose a toast to thank a couple of special people, because if it wasn’t for you guys, Chris and I wouldn’t be here today.
So first and foremost, I would like to thank my parents because if it wasn’t for them, none of you would be blessed with my presence here today. Mom, dad, your love inspires me and I hope to one day have as long lasting as beautiful a marriage as yours, but of course without as much screaming and stuff being thrown around the house.

I remember going to watch “Thor” for the first time and sitting in the movie theater, gripping my seat and saying “oh my goodness I’m in love, look at those biceps!” everyone thought I was joking, like all of you guys and that I was just acting like a hormonal teenage girl, but I wasn’t. And when I got that internship with GQ magazine, when I was able to assist you in your photo-shoot, I knew there was hope and none of you here know this but he asked for my number! He thought I was a photographer and he wanted me to take pictures of his daughter and I agreed. Right there is how I knew that my life has begun. Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen - I must admit, I am more nervous about participating in this wedding than I was as the groom (bridegroom) at my own wedding. Maybe it's because I have been married thirty years and I know what my son is getting himself in to!

The groom has a splendid set of friends, and to be nominated from such esteemed company is without doubt a great honor. As Father of the Bride, I am honored to be the first to speak this evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you on this joyous occasion. It is good to see so many friends and family here today to help celebrate Paula and Manson’s wedding. I would also like to remember those who have meant so much to our family, but could not be here today.

I started planning this speech about 5 months ago and I expect you all feel like I've been delivering it equally as long. But now it gives me immense pleasure (not to mention relief) to invite you to all stand and raise your glasses in a toast to John and Angie. To love, laughter and happily ever after.
