Our Bodies seem to amaze us with what they are capable of. Birth till death, our lives are a continuous cycle. The life of a cancer cell amazes me from where it begins and where it ends off. In breast cancer, the cancer cell is much more fascinating. What causes the cells to start their cancerous cycle. The factors that cause the activation of dormant cancer cells are, radiation, health, lifestyle and genetics.

Our bodies are the holders of over 60-90 trillion cells. Once a cells dies out, a new one is born; using the process of mitosis. Mitosis is when a cell duplicates all of its contents, including its chromosomes, and splits to form two identical daughter cells. The replication and division of our cells are controlled by our genes. When a cell duplicates incorrectly, it’s critical since this is how a cancerous cell is formed. During the process of mitosis the cell is mutated causing the cells to divide uncontrollably. Cancer cells invade tissues and organs of the body, causing the spread of the mutation fast. Cancer cells are broken up into two different categories, Malignant and Benign. Malignant cancer cells inundate the human body; they are considered to be the “bad” cancer cell. In this case when having malignant cell it means that the cells multiples while also spreading throughout the body. This cells invades neighboring tissues and organs and is much harder to cure. Benign cancer cells stay in one spot of the body; they do not spread rather they grow bigger. These cancer cells are known to be removed easily and can be treated. This benign cell type can be classified as a “tumor cell” which can be removed surgically.
