As Kenneth Blanchard once said: “The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority.” Many people in today’s world find leadership to be composed of one powerful person that controls a certain group of people. However, in moral terms, an effective leader should compose of one that can influence and guide people to success. I believe that I can fulfill this position as vice president of student government.

I hold multiple characteristics that an effective vice president should comprise of. I’d like to say I am very open minded. Someone with such power in leadership should be open to many ideas as well as people of all types.
