The contemporary key design is based on simplicity; the meaning of this is how technology, art, designs and power affect the audiences? How does technology be reliable and what makes it easier to communicate with it? How does the technology evolve with more features and yet at the same time being simplistic? John Maeda is a Japanese-American graphic designer, computer scientist and the president, Rhode School of Design. His activity is in design, technology, art and power explores how does each sector relates, combine others and makes that form into simplicity. Within those four core theme Maeda’s analysis is to keep much simple, it helps the consumers to understand with less complex but the complexity will always stay intact. In other meaning for e.g. products will never be perfection, as it continues to grow and improve the features, this category falls into technology and furthermore it will be described how it affects society. Technology (Maeda, Ted, 2012) The explanation about this chart is how Apple technology was used, what is the design reflection that has been improved over the timeline. In 1980-1982 the original Apple computer, has visual text with integrated keyboard, although it is significantly slow as comparing todays computers. In 1983-1984 Apple have announced another computer with visual and text in user interface, it has more become more visual than texting itself, it is more manageable and less difficult for the user to interact. Four years ahead of time the sound has been integrated into the system, which allows users to listen 8-bit sound itself or a long with 2D animation images. As the future goes by the computer technology has been upgraded and has more components hardware in order to run efficient and sm... ... middle of paper ... ...in design. For e.g. AMD has released a CPU processer 1090T which has 3.2 GHZ, the six months after released another CPU 1100T is 3.4 GHZ. Now comparing both processer, much has not changed and it is pointless to buy AMD 1100T for £30 extra. What it seems like the AMD is lacking the Architecture design; essentially a company should focus the core of the CPU that communicates with the video card, memory ram smoother and no system lag issues. It can be multitasking such as rendering video, playing video game with good frame rate etc. the idea of the flow is technology should focus more on design architecture rather than increasing specification, waste of a product and its valuable price. Maeda provides detailed examples of times in his life where he felt art needed to be copilots with technology on the plane of technological innovation. His first example is in paragraph four when he describes his transition from studying and teaching technology at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to working in design at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design). He then explains his new eye-opening experience to the world of creation. He says, "RISD represents the ultimate culture of makers. There is no... greater goal achieved than an idea... expressed through something made with your hands." Maeda uses this personal experience to explain his introduction with art and then

In the last century, technology has revolutionized societies, promoting the culture of instant materialistic entertainment. These advancements impact everyone, especially the younger generations since the technological products influence and shape their life attitudes. In “The Technology of Simplicity” by Mark A. Burch, the author discusses the impact of these social advancements by contrasting the behaviours of people in the past and the present.
Working thesis: The advancements in technology have caused the social norms of society to adapt to its rapid change, by becoming captivated to its simple access; which is effecting the way we communicate and act.
‘Lost in translation’ happens more frequently during the rate of globalization. The misreading of design languages is not just an issue among layperson, designers also been affected during the international cooperation. Naturally, there are gaps existing between different cultures (Jones, 2011). For example, the masterpieces of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa considered as the portraits of ideological conflicts and exhibits individual’s sacrifices for feudalism. But on their Western re-making versions, the heroism and anarchism were been emphasized instead. Just like the differences between Samurai and cowboy, design languages and signals are preforming in different way from east to west.
How many of you think technology is necessary in your life? Would you feel the same way if you knew, how often children get tortured because of it? I don 't think so! Technology based companies such as Apple and Samsung usually tell people having technology or anything electronic can change your life in a positive way. Ok, I admit that 's true. But it could also be a weapon of violence, it could cause millions of children to get hurt every single day. They are many way 's technology can create alifetime of pain for a lot of kids’. One way is that it creates digitally eyestrain, which includes burning, itchy or tired eyes. Also it could cause double visions, headache and loss of focus. They are many side

It was Steve Jobs who made Apple leave the garage and make leaps and bounds in the world of technology. Steve Wozniak made the first prototype, but it was Jobs who “saw the potential” in his computer and persuaded Wozniak to sell it (Peterson 106). Even though that first computer saw very little success, Jobs knew that Apple had potential and so released the Apple II. From the beginning Jobs knew what the consumers wanted, and where computers were going to take the world; he had a vision of the opportunities in technology and saw that Apple needed to move in a different direction. In 1984, one year before he left, Jobs finished the Macintosh computer system. He was pushed from his original computer design project, “the Lisa”, and then raced to release the Mac first, but the Lisa was released to the public first. Although the Lisa came out first, the Mac “[became] synonymous with Apple, mark[ing] a…revolution in…personal computing,” (Peterson 106).

As the world revolves, there are a lot of changes that happens in the world. For example, in terms of technology, there are a lot of improvements already. Back then, for example, features of mobile phones were only call and text. But more ideas have been developed and people have started to think about how to improve some things so that they can attract more consumers. The result is there are now more, in this case, high-tech phones with carious incredible features such as access to social media, hi-quality camera’s ability to upload to and download from the Internet, e-readers, and video calls for quicker and easier communication.
Modernism can be defined as the post-industrial revolutionary era, in which the western world began to see a change in all spheres of living. The effects of the industrial revolution became prevalent towards the end of the nineteenth century and the modernist movement drew inspiration from this widespread change. Artists, writers, architects, designers and musicians, all began to embrace the changing world and denounce their pre-taught doctrines and previous ways of producing work. Society felt the urge to progressively move forward toward a modern way of thinking and living. Although we considerably live in a ‘post-modern’ world, many of the technologies and principles involved in designing and engineering them draw influence from the innovative culture of the modern era.
With Apple continuously innovating they have improved the battery life, increased the memory capacity, or a better colour options. With each change they have considered the value and to what it will mean to the customer and how will that meet their needs.
Every day I have to press a little button on a small remote controller so the gate at home opens by itself. It seems normal nowadays, but twelve years ago I had to step out of the car to open the gate by myself. I am now 20 years old and I have seen technology flashing through my eyes throughout the years. When I was in primary school I used to play with sand, ride bicycles or create my own games. Internet, smart phones, Facebook and Google were words that did not appeared in my vocabulary until some years ago. Even tablets were just medicines and not a computer device that looks like a small flat screen. Technology is getting modern day by day. People are always connected to something that is related to technology, such as the internet, social media, television or smart phones. It is very difficult to imagine life nowadays without technology. But does technology make life more convenient? Or was life better when it was simpler? In this essay I will fall in with these two questions about technology?
The influence of the electronic devices, multimedia and computers are the things that dealt with our daily life. Especially the internet that is now giving more importance to each and every one, by giving the newest outstanding media that surely will give the outmost future ahead of us. (Temmel)
