...aluation I have made is that all of the movies have won similar awards. For having the best character, picture, make up, music, visual and special effects, etc. In conclusion I think these movies really deserve these awards because the directors have really tried hard to make the effects seem realistic. The special effects in gruesome scenes really make the scenes seem real which makes the movie more interesting to watch. The pictures have brilliant graphics to create excitement. The make up and costumes of the evil characters truly reflect their character. All of the directors have used appropriate music taking you in the time and place of the movie settings. The visual and special effects increase the excitement and interest of the audience. Overall the directors have created amazing effects by using all the latest techniques in making their movie.
I will be analyzing Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 6: particularly, the Jump scene. Lin uses pathos in this scene by capturing the emotion of love and hope. The famous actor Van Diesel plays the leading role of a retired professional street racer who also happens to be a leader of a hijacking crew. Diesel plays the character Dominic Toretto. Toretto gets in a mission where he is offered to get involved with the police, which is Ironic since they were trying to catch him in the past for his endless crimes such as illegal street races and car hijacking. In fact, they offered him a great deal; if he and his crew decide to help them capture an unstoppable criminal named Shaw and put him and his crew behind bars; they would erase their criminal records and earn them back their freedom. However, one of the criminal members of Shaw’s Crew is Toretto’s girlfriend Letty, who was supposed to be dead since part 4 of the film’s sequence, after going through a major car wreck where she could’ve been burned inside her car if it wasn’t for Shaw who saved her. As a result of the incident, she had sever...
The Language You Cry In” directed by Angel Serrano and Alvaro Toepko, produced a documentary that finds the meaningful links between African Americans and their ancestral past. It goes back to the hundreds of years and thousands of miles from the Gullah people to the present day in Georgia back to 18th century Sierra Leone. The film demonstrates how the African Americans continued to have memory links of their ancestors when they were enslaved and segregated. It begins with a story of memory, and how the family was reunited with one of their own through a song that was able to remember those who sang it in the past.
I did like the Gladiator movie, it did really shows perspectives of being a tragic hero. In which their was so much betrayal in this movie, it did represent on how much Maximus has done to bring an end to Commodus reign and the vengeance he seeked. I do believe that Maximus was a tragic hero because of what events that occur which would put him in danger. He was more admirable than an average person would be and would earn his glory. The fortune that a tragic hero would occur will end in a downfall. He does display on what a tragic hero will represent in which that will bring him justice or

Slave traders, capture Maximus, and sell him into slavery. Maximus must rise to the top once more, and enact his revenge on Commodus. According to Aristotle, “Tragedy is an imitation of an action that is serious, complete, and of a certain magnitude”(Kwheeler). In order for someone to be considered a tragic hero, the person must meet the criteria of high social status, suffer from a hamartia, face a catastrophe, invoke catharsis, and experience anagnorisis and peripeteia(Kwheeler).

The Importance of Being Earnest film produced in 2002 compares to the original version reveal different changes. The change modify the motion which the author would like to transmit in the original document. The important changes are the modification of some stage of direction. The actors changed some stages of direction and created their own. The second change is skipping of some sequences. The actor of the film choose to ignore some sequences which were in the original version. Moreover, the actors added some stages which were not in the preview version. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Screenplay & Dir. George Lucas. Lucasfilm & Twentieth Century Fox, 1977. Film
Quite possibly one of the most iconic openings in cinematic history is “A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away.” Of course, I am referring to Star Wars. It is such a fascinating and great movie going experience. There have been a total of seven Star Wars films, but in this essay I am going to be focusing on Star Wars: Episode 3- Revenge of the Sith. This film was written and directed by George Lucas and of the science fiction genre. Revenge of the Sith was released in theaters on May 19, 2005.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Dir. Peter Jackson. By Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Guillermo Del Toro, and J.R.R Tolkien. Perf. Martin Freeman, Ian McKellan, and Richard Armitage. 2012. DVD.
George Lucas wrote and directed Star Wars, he had tons of creative and production control just like Hitchcock. Furthermore, the film demonstrates his aesthetic vision through recurring themes of good verse evil, heroes fighting for good and saving the day. Lastly, the film demonstrates thematic and stylistic consistencies to create the meaningful narrative. One thing that stands out from Star Wars that illustrates George Lucas’ control over the production is the credits. He did not want the credits at the beginning of the film so the audience can focus on the narrative. In the late 1950’s the auteur theory was introduced to filmmaking which created a new way of making films. Auteur theory went against the classical narrative by focusing on realism. Auteur films had ambiguous endings, which deeper into the character’s physiological state. Even though, Star Wars demonstrates certain auteur elements, it does not go against the classical narrative. To conclude, Star Wars mixed classical Hollywood techniques with the auteur theory that lead to a different and unique way of making a

Gladiator (2000) is an action drama about a Roman general that is betrayed by his country and is forced to fight in the Colosseum. This particular scene, which runs for approximately 5 minutes, is the aftermath of the fight scene between Maximus, the betrayed general, and Commodus, the jealous emperor who betrayed him. This scene is not only significant because it is the concluding scene of the film, but also because it represents the end of Maximus’s enslavement and his coming to peace with dying.
