Technology is advancing in every field as the innovations being created are to said be progressing humankind further in to the future, which seems to revolve around technology because it is said to be improving an individual 's lifestyle by simplifying complicated tasks. However some may argue that technology is ruining society as people seem to be consumed by it, instead of using it as a tool to assist them with daily tasks. Especially the affect it is having on young children who are constantly engaging with technology as a part of their development because parents and guardians are aiming to improve their child 's intellectual level which in turn can lead to antisocial behaviour. Since the internet has no time limit or content restriction adolescents are able to spend a large amount of their time on any website, without any form of supervision, which in-turn may result in the way they interact with others physically. A study by Kwon et al. (2011) illustrated that individuals that have a problem with internet use, are highly probable to devote a remarkable amount of their time towards various online activities, even though in can alter their psychological well-being, peer and parent interaction as well as increase their level of aggression. It has also been indicated that individuals that are highly introverted, play games because they believe it to be easier to interact virtually rather than having to confront individuals in real life, which coincidentally, can exacerbate an individuals shyness in realty and to comfort themselves they begin to play more games (Kuss et al. 2013). Although, the internet is such a large platform, it is also seen to improve communication with others, through social media and chat sites, this is beneficial as they create new friendships, that would prove difficult in reality. Nevertheless the internet also creates different forms of negative relationships online, such as stalkers and pedophiles, additionally it is creating a barrier between virtuality and reality as many individuals may have issues communicating physically with others as they do not have a great deal of experience, which in turn can effect the occupational preferences and limit their opportunities in life because they aren 't able to appropriately socialise around other
