¿How should the teacher be in terms of preparation, academic background and personality to be in charge of an English course?
The ideal class is the dream of any teacher. It is as if we wanted to know the magic secret to make the class everybody would like to attend. There are requirements, techniques, ways, and exercises to take into account in order to make a class that everybody would say: this is the class I will never forget. The preparation of the teacher is essential for this purpose but is not the only factor to make a good class. Although the preparation and ability to teach creatively are the key elements that could give us the desired magic wand to make an awesome English class, it depends not only on these two elements but most on the strong desire of the student for their own learning. there are a lot of people studying right now, some are happy some are not that happy, some make comments saying: this is a good class, some say this is not a good class. We have a lot of complaining about why students are bad prepared. Putting the blame on the teacher’s shoulders is the first thing that comes to mind. Resent test reports show that students are not doing well. Somebody has to be accountable for this, and guess what; the teachers are the best option to be considered as the primary cause of failure of the students; that would be the explanation of why students do poorly on tests and other assignments.
Results given by tests should be good if the students are receiving the proper classes in the right environment, with the right attitude and most of all with the ideal class and the ideal teacher.

Although standardized tests have been trusted for years to assess the progress of students, there is little evidence that they measure progress accurately.
Teachers who lack passion and desire to teach what they are given can translate and manifest its way to students as they also lose aspirations to come to school and learn only what will be on exams they are supposed to take to show that they are “learning.” Students come to school to learn things they did not know prior and with the acquisition of knowledge it can many a times create a drive for students to expand upon a particular subject, which can ultimately determine their careers and goals, but this whole process is shutdown with standardized tests, as many topics and subjects are limited to a few basic ones that put out the fire students are expected to have.
Education is a topic that can be explored in many ways. Education is looked at in depth by both Richard Rodriguez in his essay, “The Achievement of Desire”, and by Paulo Freire in his essay, “The ‘Banking’ Concept of Education.” After reading both essays, one can make some assumptions about different methods of education and exactly by which method Rodriguez was taught. The types of relationships Rodriguez had with his teachers, family and in life were affected by specific styles of education.

Current educational policy and practice asserts that increased standardized student testing is the key to improving student learning and is the most appropriate means for holding individual schools and teachers accountable for student learning. Instead, it has become a tool solely for summarizing what students have learned and for ranking students and schools. The problem is standardized tests cannot provide the information about student achievement that teachers and students need day-to-day. Classroom assessment can provide this kind of information.
As child growing up some of the frightful memories include a visit to the dentist; an evil man with scary drill whose solve purpose is to hurt you or the first day in elementary school you finally leave all behind the cozy classrooms and nap times of kindergarten and enter the big leagues. All of these are considered a cakewalk compared to standardize testing. Since the start of elementary school students in the United States are taught to test. In many instances students are held back or placed in remedial classes because of lower grades. But many don’t realize that some students are not great at testing taking and because of the lower grades some educators believe that these students are lower achievers. This leads to lower self-esteem and encourage students to drop out in later years. Also students are forced to memorize information merely as facts without sparking their creativity or enhancing their knowledge.
This article showed the view on how there are many aspects to learning. There are two the article mainly focuses on and that is nutrition and the physical activities that have shaped the young children in what they will become and who they are now.
As a result, instructors are now told to teach to the test and the amount of material presented to students in class is lessened to emphasize the key points on exams that will improve test scores. This lack of curricular diversity affects students more than any other party involved; students are held back from their ultimate potentials due to the mediocrity of information they are presented at school. No longer are schools attempting to produce brighter and higher achieving students, but rather, students who are good test takers. Although this seems to be against the purpose of education, schools must unfortunately consider these options in order to attempt their state receiving more federal funding due to higher test scores. Standardized assessments prevent educators from exercising their role as instructors of all subjects, schools from attempting to build educated and successful students, and students from constructing thoughts abstractly, rather than to the answer of a

When speaking about having test scores as an indication of a school’s competency, everything will be based on the school. The school will have to have something to base it on themselves in order to have the results. This is where it becomes unacceptable. The fact that the whole process puts the school in a jam will make the school fall to the employees for the work. This process leads to teacher evaluations. Upon entering the field of education, I am faced with many questions. Will the students like me? Will I have a large class? Will I be a good teacher? A few of the questions that definitely need to be answered before I enter the classroom, are what methods should I use to teach? What aspects of which methods will work best for me? What philosophy best exemplifies the way I want to bestow the learning process to my students? In my quest to become an elementary teacher I shall use a variety of aspects from past philosophers of education. This study is significant considering the educational qualifications of Buenavista District II elementary teachers because it is the bases on how they handle the different attitudes of elementary pupils and their dedication towards their work. The number of years in teaching is also needed because those are the bases of the methods they use in their teaching. Seminars and trainings are a must for them to know more knowledge on how to teach, what to teach and what kind of ways and technique they will use for them to have the interest of their pupils for their subject.
