Everyone has a purpose in life, although it may take time to realize what it may be. One must be careful with the interactions we have with each other, because they can be positive or negative. Based on the actions and opinions of others, people make judgements that can lead to serious consequences. In the tragedy of “Romeo and Juliet,” many played a role through their decisions, actions, words, attitude, thoughts, and character traits, but Romeo and Juliet were both responsible for their own tragedy because of their emotional decisions.

Emotion can cause a person to be blind to the right choice. Romeo ends his life based on an emotional decision. After finding out that Juliet was presumed dead he didn't take the time to make a logical or thoughtful decision. Romeo says, “Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight./Let’s see for means. O mischief, thou art swift/To enter in the thoughts of desperate men./I do remember an apothecary (5.1.37-40). Following this he goes to the apothecary to get the potion to end his life right by Juliet’s side. This shows how Romeo thought by emotion, because he was ready to kill himself because of the sadness of losing Juliet. Romeo didn't even care which extent he went to, so he bribed the apothecary with lots of money after the apothecary refused to give him the potion. Romeo's death could have been preventable if he would have been patient. Romeo should have gone to the Friar Lawrence and heard the real plan before going to the tomb of Juliet to die right by her side. Romeo and Juliet had a plan in which they thought would keep the fire between them burning, but lack of communication and actions by emotion allowed the fire to stop which they both were responsible
