Everyone has something they do that makes them unique. Most people have been doing an activity for some time of their life that makes them unique. Something that people must know about me is that I am all about football. My whole life has been revolved around football whether it is watching it or playing it. I have been involved in football ever since I was born. Starting young my parents introduced me to the sport of football. I was introduced to the Carolina Panthers at the age of two years old. My parents bought me books, clothes and even a panthers uniform when I was little. Growing up watching football on the television and being able to watch my older brothers play in person really inspired me to play football as soon as I could. In the second grade, I was able to play full tackle football at our community Recreational league. Even though the rules only supported third grade and up to play tackle football, they allowed me to play. With one of my brothers only three years older than me, we had to play each other, making the game a lot more competitive. It would seem to be harder to play with the older kids since I started early, but I had been playing backyard football with my two older brothers my whole life.
My father was the biggest

They meant so much to me that I would even play when I was hurting. Except in the second game of my junior year in Highschool, I completely broke my lower leg. I didn't realize that my junior year was over until the next day I found out I needed surgery. This was my first ever major injury and it caused me to sit the rest of the year. After surgery and many months of rehab, I was able to walk again without crutches or a boot. I was able to lift and workout out again in February, and I pushed myself harder than before. In five months I was back faster, stronger and better than ever ready to play my senior year of
Every human being has a special life journey which shapes their identity along the way. My particular identity has been formulated through athletics. My whole life, ever since I was a little kid has revolved around athletics. I am proud to say sports have shaped me into the man I am today, a man for others. Sports have given me important life skills of teamwork, perseverance, time management and hard work. These life skills have guided me when I needed them most in my life.
I honestly believe without football I would not have an identity since it played a crucial role in shaping me into the caring, smart, and passionate person I am today. Before football you could not pinpoint the difference between the herds of people who did not have a care in the world and myself. Ever since the 6th grade I frequently arrived to school tardy, got into multiple fights for no apparent reason, and often received disappointing grades; these bad habits became a daily routine that derived from the fact that I did not know any better. After being raised by parents who did not finish high school and never stressed the importance of school, I had no one to instill a moral compass within me. Anyways, at the beginning of my 7th grade year I was messing around in my Physical Education class when suddenly a football coach
Growing up in a small town, football had always been a huge deal to what seemed to be everyone besides me, at the time I would have rather stayed at home and wasted my life away being lazy. I started to play at the age of six to fuel my
Sports contributed to making the 1960's a decade of fun excitement. One of the most
Football has been a big part of my life ever since I was a little kid. I almost always tried to play football when I could with my brothers if they weren’t busy messing around. During recess in grade school my class would try to start a football game and I would be the first in to be picked on a team. My first time being on a “football team” was in little league my third grade year and I’ve never missed a year yet now that I am a senior in highschool and I’m hoping to continue it in college. Football made the person who I am today, it changed me in many ways and affected how I am as a person.
Football is more than just a contact sport. What are often disregarded are the benefits that come from the game. The life lessons that young players learn when playing this game are irreplaceable. It molded me a young man into a wholesome human being. One who applies what he learned in football to the outside world. Football has taught me a lot about myself as well as responsibilities in the work
Football was always something special to me and always will be, I started playing football when I was five years old for Little Devils Football. It all began after wrestling practice one day where we got to dress up in football pads and hit each other for fun. That day I fell in love with the sport and realized how fun it would be to play it throughout my life and how I would enjoy it. I Started playing the next season I could, I met some new friends and became best friends with my dear friend Mikey Schrand. Me and Mikey rode to practice together, games together and even hanged out together. I started the season playing middle linebacker and fullback. I loved playing and loved the positions i played. Times were with our coach being a former arena football player. I went to practice every day at seven p.m. and stayed till nine p.m. and man that coach made us run like no other coach, we ran more than a track team. I remember some practices were we would have to go to the notorious hill where it was basically straight up and down and we would do bear crawls up and down the hill for two ...
Each game, my passion grew. Each team, new memories and lifelong friends were made. Sports sometimes make me feel disappointment and at loss; but it taught me to be resilient to a lot of things, like how to thrive under pressure and come out on top. Being the team captain of my high school’s football and lacrosse team showed me how having a big responsibility to bring a group together to work as one is compared to many situations in life. Currently playing varsity football, varsity lacrosse, and track I take great pride in the activities I do. Staying on top of my academics, being duel enrolled at Indian River State College, working three nights a week, and two different sport practices after school each day shaped my character to having a hard work
Before birth football seemed like it would be a factor in my life. My uncles and cousins were key players of their high school football teams. Even though they were a factor I developed a love for the game myself. The drive from my family made me want to go harder.
Once again, after a successful season, Shadle Park was defeated by a Big 9 school in the first game of the regional tournament. This reoccurring event has led many to believe that the four year football program puts GSL students at a disadvantage compared to other districts. A junior high school football program would not only increase the competitiveness of the students but also have more important consequences.
Football is one of the three most popular sports in the United States. The modern game of football most likely originated from England (hornetfootball.org). Walter Camp, a football coach for Yale, is known as “the Father of American Football” because he made several changes to the game of football (historyoffootball.net). The first professional football league was established in 1920, and it was made popular because of the invention of the television. Football is a mixture of science and religion which can be proved in the science of football, the religious interpretation of football, and the players’ use of their religion.
My brother was a good football player and I would like to be as good as he was and that’s going to take a lot of practice to do that. I told him I want to play and have him come down and watch me play and he said he would do that. When he told me he would come down and watch me play I felt excited. Football has made me a better person in school because it motivates me to keep my grades up. When I joined the team people have been nicer to me when I’m on the team then when I wasn’t on the team.
My passion is studying the game of football. It would be a gigantic adventure starting a football scouting business. It would be a dream come true. Starting this business would be a huge accomplishment for me. It will require a lot of effort and work but it will all be worth it!
In stadiums, parks and fields all across America, many youth participate in a journey through defeat, heartbreak, hard work, and success. Practicing for hours, rain or shine, to be able to snag that game winning touchdown in the back of the endzone. Although football comes with many risks and dangers, I strongly believe that kids and teens should be allowed to play football because it promotes leadership, teamwork, and requires significant amounts of exercise and cardiovascular activity, and other contact sports are just as dangerous.
I was only five at the time and the commissioner of the league said that I couldn’t play because my birthday fell after the cutoff date by a day. My mother looked into my eyes and saw how badly I wanted this so she convinced him to let me play. I was a member of the Bandits and I was the youngest on the team. However, I wasn’t concerned with the age issue because I was just happy to play. I was never intimidated because at that age everyone was just playing and having fun. My number was 52 and I played running back. My team was horrible, and that’s just an understatement, but I made a name for myself as a hard runner. I played in the GMFL for about five or six years and then moved onto another league which was slightly bigger the Prince William County Football League (PWCFL).
