Back in the 1800`s Football was played by the agricultural society. There wasn’t much rules and it was considered as” mob football”. In 1848 the first set of rules were made my Cambridge University but these rules were changed in 1863, since then football has changed.

Football has developed a lot more ever since the industrial revolution which means everyone has a lot more energy and time to play football. This is because of the machines doing more work, meaning less labour. The amount of free leisure time has increased and keeps increasing due to the new technological advances being made.

Vanishing spray and goal line technology is now used and this is all because of the new equipment being proved to develop the sport even further. The passion of football is always the same with stadiums now being built to provide more crowds. Football has developed a lot more due to it becoming professional and all the money which is involved.
Ever since the football organisation has started many organisations has started many other organisations have started including FIFA and Uefa. FIFA has the most control of all organisations and is well respected. FIFA stands for Fédération Internationale de Football Association which means it is the national governing body for football all over the world.
FIFA was founded in 1904 in Zurich and has now 209 national associations. FIFA does not have control over the rules of football but does host the world cup which is the worlds biggest football tournament every four years. FIFA`S supreme body is the FIFA Congress, an assembly made up of representatives from each affiliated member association. The Congress has met 66 times since 1904 , FIFA is made up of 6 confederations .

DCMS also want to get more people playing sport by helping people from early age and encouraging them to play a sport throughout their lives.

The Dcms also want to create a lasting legacy from the 2012 olmpic and Paralympic games .
They want to do this to benefit the whole country for many years.
In order for the DCMS for their aims to become successful the need to get involved . They do this by :
Finding UK sport ,the national high performance sports agency , to help elite atheletes achieve their potential .
Bringing major sporting events to the uk for example the Olympics in 2012 .
Working to prevent the use of drugs in sport .
They also aim to improve the governance structures of sport in the UK to make sports bodies more transparent and accountable .
THE DCMS also fund the sport ground safety authority to set guidelines and carry out inspections that make sports grounds safer.
The dcms have tried to help the uk and the evidence is clear as team gb performance has improved due to investment in the elite sports due to dcms.
