How Does the Number of Children in a Family Affect Children's Growth
Do you have brothers or sisters? Or are you the only child in your family? If you have brothers and sisters, you may have feelings about how your siblings care for you, how they influence you and how your parents give their love to you all. And if you are the only child in your family, then you may know how it feels when parents pay their whole attentions to you. Then, how does the number of children in a nuclear family affect the children¡¦s psychological growth?
The only child in the family usually gets what he wants because he is the apple of his parents¡¦ eye which can make the child feel that it is natural to think about only his own needs. While in a more-than-one-child family, a child may not get what he wants because his parents still have other children to care about which can make the child think about his siblings before he speaks out his needs. As time goes on, these two children can have different ideas when dealing with others¡¦ desires and their own. As we can see from the above, the effects do exist. And this study will explore both the positive and negative effects on only children and children with siblings according to their birth order.
Let¡¦s look at the only child family first. Only children can always get their parents¡¦ whole attention, which means they are living with their parents¡¦ whole love. Parents are likely to try everything to make their only children grow with happiness and comforts. In Germany, it was because the Jews profited from the industrial revolution unlike most of the native population. In France, the Jews were blamed for the French downfall in World War II, and in Austria they merely blamed Jews for any problems they had. Because of this, these countries began to have new national ideas. They believed nations were culturally exclusive, meaning it should be one ethnic group, and one culture, and no other group should contaminate it. They believed Jews would deteriorate the race and weaken the ethnicity. Antisemitism then became a secular idea rather than a religious one. It is clear that China’s one child policy has affected Chinese society in multiple ways. The policy has resulted in corruption in the Chinese government, an abuse of women’s rights, female feticide, and an imbalance in the gender ratio, and potential problems with China’s elderly and younger populations. The Chinese government decided to implement a one child policy in order to counter the effects of rapid population growth. The question to ask is if the benefits of population control really do outweigh the problems the policy has created in Chinese society. It will be interesting to see if the policy continues to affect Chinese culture in the future, and how the changes that have been recently made play out.
Anti-Semitism history goes all the way back to the birth beginning of the the spread of Christianity. Its history is very interesting and deep rooted. Anti- Semitism would have never reached its height if it weren’t for Nazi propaganda. Without propaganda the Holocaust may have never happened. The worst part of Anti-Semitism was its effects. It killed millions of people. In conclusion Anti-Semitism was a terrible thought and should never be repeated in history again.

Although personality is affected by many different factors, such as heredity, family size, the spacing and the gender of other siblings, education and upbringing, birth order plays a very important role and gives many clues as to why people are the was they are. Dr. Alfred Adler, a renowned psychiatrist, wrote that a person's position in the family leaves an undeniable "stamp" on his or her "style of living."
