Video Game Violence Affecting How Kids and Teens Behave Imagine someone is playing a videogame with their friend one day after school. Their friend leaves and they think everything seems fine. So they wake up in the morning and go to school and find out that their friend has been arrested for bringing a gun to school. All around the world kids are making decisions like these that will consequently affect the rest of their lives. One source says, “In June of 2008 a group of six teenage boys were arrested for taking part in at least two armed robberies. The boys used crowbars and other crude instruments in the robberies. After the boys were arrested the boys said that their actions were inspired by the Grand Theft Auto series”(“Videogames and Violence”). This shows how the violence in the video game Grand Theft Auto is being transmitted to the real world and parents need to keep an eye on the video games that kids and teens are playing.
