Promoting the annihilation of slavery, Stowe (1852) has remarkably presented an incredible novel, titled Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The author has used religion and characters to prove the concept of slavery as an immoral and bad thing. She has used different characters and forced the individuals to confront their own dual behaviors towards various flavors of slavery; as there are multiple characters in the story who showed their hypocrite nature, even some of them believed that slavery is immoral but at some point they find themselves reviled while contacting blacks. One of these characters is Miss Ophelia, she pretended that she is opposed to slavery but when Eva started hugging and kissing the black people, she felt hatred with this sight. Stowe presented the character of the Miss Ophelia as a very devoted and dutiful Christian teacher but an individual possessed with the hypocrite nature. For example, Mrs. Shelbey is depicted to be more moral than her husband. Even her husband is kind enough but, still his perception about slaves is somehow wrong. This behavior of Mr. Shelbey creates feeling of anger in Mrs. Shelbey who believes that one cannot impose the teachings of bibles on black as these teachings do not apply to them. Likewise, Eva is demonstrated as morally superior as her mother is. She is the kid who only desires for the happiness of the other regardless of their lingual, ethnic, racial or religious differences. She feels ad and sad when her cousin treats his servant badly. She tries to comfort the servant as she felt bad about the scenario. This shows that Eva loved everyone regardless of the status. In a nutshell, it has been analyzed that the author, Stowe, has incredibly narrated the hypocrisy of human beings think it is bad but, at the same time they feel hatred despite, knowing the fact that thinking bad is not a good
