When people think about high school, they see all of the things they regret not doing. Some even think about the experiences they missed out on or the great times they did have while in high school. My time in high school wasn 't that bad. I played sports and had friends that I will have forever. I never got a state sweater in any of the sports I did do, but that wasn 't my goal in any of the sports. I played the sports I did because I enjoyed the sport and I got to spend time with my friends. My time in high school is something I will remember throughout my lifetime and will never forget. When in high school, lots of things can happen to one person. I personally had a lot of bad, but also good things happen during my four years of high school. Most of them were bad, but a famous quote from buddha has helped me realize what is important in my life. Buddha says “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” ~ Buddha. This quote has helped me throughout my life so far and I will continue to live by this quote for the duration of my life time. If I was to change anything about my life, then I would change who I am and who I might become. If I could change something, it would to be a bigger man and stop those people who think bullying is okay. …show more content…
I know I can be somewhat mean sometimes, but it is just because of the world I was raised in. People of the twenty-first century are some mean people. I would love to be back in the 1800’s when men respected women and treated them like a human being, not like pieces of meat like we do now. The times have changed and people have to mean to survive. The nice guys just don 't make it in the world now. If I have to be a little mean to get to where I want to be in life, then so be it, I will get there. I will always treat women with the utmost respect they deserve
Growing up is not an easy thing to do. You have no idea what is going on with your body, your emotions change at the drop of a hat, and you sometimes wonder what the point of life is. However, what you do know is that Mercer is planning a party after the game Friday night and you need to be there. This is the way I seem to remember high school when I think about it for a brief second. However, when I sit down and actually give it some thought, I realize that there is so much more about those years I have forgotten about--all of the little things that happened to everyone everyday and those major events that seemed to change my life. Everything that went into making us All-American kids.
Five of the greatest years of your life occur throughout high school, what makes these years so great is not overly obvious until they’re actually over. You experience times that you’ll always remember; great sports moments with your favorite high school teams, and you get the great feeling of closeness and structure from the school, along with the people you’ll never forget; this half-decade serves as a great period to form new bonds that may or may not last an eternity, and to strengthen friendships that already existed going into this new period of life. When these years are done, you’ll be a changed person, in most cases, for the better.
Regrets are something that everyone deals with in their lives, and smart decisions are the best way to prevent them. The huge decision that the majority of people struggle with after high school is whether they should attend college. Continuing education after high school is a necessity if you are planning on getting a good job and making a high income. The main issue for why so many people do not get a college degree is because of the high expenses. However, living with only a high school diploma is actually much more difficult than affording college. There are many other benefits from college and most adults regret never receiving a degree. People should attend college because higher education will increase your income, help our society, and improve your lifestyle (Dudley 1).
I didn't realize how much I enjoyed them until it was too late. I would go watch our sports teams mostly volleyball, but I also watch our soccer and football team. One of my closest friends was on the volleyball team so me and my group would go watch him play. Volleyball is a extraordinary sport to watch especial in person, It was a really exciting time. We made him signs and we became regarded as superfans. I actually participated in Spirit week and the events they had leading up to Christmas such as ugly sweater day. I had fun participating in those events, I wish I would have done it sooner. The three other years of high school I didn’t do much except join the drama club sophomore year and continued it until senior year. Reflecting back made me angry because at the end of my high school career was when I really started enjoying high school. When I was enjoying my time the most it all went away so quick. That really got to me ,but instead of experiencing sadness about my reflection on high school, I felt outraged; I was angry with myself about the opportunities I missed during high school. As I mentioned previously sports was something that I regret not doing the most. As Well as all
to be in "Highschool".It was considered the most important year in my life, that I could've
High school is a time in life when teenagers learn a lot about themselves. Personally I learned that I have to work hard to get what I want and that I could do anything that I set my mind to. For me coming to Rockhurst High School was initially a struggle. Although I was had straight A's before high school, I soon realized that high school could not be compared to middle school. The school district I came from was nonaccredited at the time and did not prepare me to be well equipped in high school. I knew that coming from one of the worst public school districts in Kansas City to going to one of the top private high school schools in Missouri, would not be easy and I was up for the challenge. Starting out freshman year I noticed that my grades were not what I had hoped for them to be and became very worried. Instead of taking the easy way out and transferring to an easier school I decided to challenge myself and stay at Rockhurst. At the end of my freshman year I
High school has been a journey, it has built a foundation for my future. Through the sleepless nights and early mornings, I have had an opportunity to mature and step out of my comfort zone. The demand of going to school, having a job, involving myself in my community and being in a sport has all worked out for my benefit. Now the time has come to step out into the real world.
Often high school is perceived as a time when a youth finds themselves. While I agree with this, I think it is not only important to figure out who you have been, but also to figure out who you have become and who you will be through growth and maturity. I know that throughout my high school career I have done just that. I have experienced so much since I first walked through the doors to Henderson High School. As a freshman and sophomore, the only major activity that I participated in was Track and Field, which I had been doing since I was 9 and continue to do now. As my junior year comes to an end, I look back on my progress, and I am proud. Recently, I was given a reminder of my newfound involvement when passes for club pictures were handed out. I
I envision high school as an essential stepping stone for everyone. The era where every individual lacks the complete confidence in defining who they are or what they want to be. The four years of high school was the moment and opportunity to seek the interests that stood out to me the most. The experiences you make and the people you associate with are a crucial part of finding yourself.
At times I am very thankful for high school because of the great friends I am getting out of it. High school has showed me that it isn’t just about learning and having good grades, it’s about having fun and showing people the real you. It is about being the person you are. Making friends and having fun with them. High school has helped me make so many great friends. And coming from a little school and not knowing anybody, I didn’t ever think I was going to make the friends that I did. And I am more than grateful for them. My friends and high school have made me the person that I am today. It has showed me that high school is filled with different kinds of people and some people just aren’t going to like you and that is okay.. Their lose is that way I look at it. It has showed me that some things just aren’t going to go the way you want them too. Things will go wrong and you’re just going to have to find a way to get over them. My friends have showed me that with the support of them behind me that I can do anything and know that they are going to be there for me and support me all the way through.
My mom always told me "Never say you wish high school was over, because at the end you will miss it.", but I never listened I always thought high school was just a little bump in the road and after my life is going to be better. From the beginning of my freshman year I wished high school
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
High school is a time in your life that at the time you think is the worst part in your life, but will later find out, that it is the best time in your life. Unlike my fellow senior classmates, I have come to the realization that I will miss this “shitty” place we call school. High school is a mixture of 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 year olds. Unlike elementary and middle school, in high school, all students are mixed together. To me, high school is a time in your life to figure out who you are, who your friends are, and to make memories. I love high school and will miss every minute of it next year when I am off in college, alone. O Bentworth Senior High School.
I am only kidding. It's just when you're young it is easy to get caught up in the here and now, and hard to look to the future. I thought high school would never end and now here we are on the brink of having to go out into the world and actually support ourselves!? I now feel like I never really appreciated my time here and never realized what a valuable experience it would be for me. I spent so much time complaining about high school, I never really had anytime left over to just enjoy myself. There are so many experiences from high school we will all carry with us through out our whole lives and will ultimately help determine what kind of person we are.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
