The 1800s was filled with many new machines and ideas that man had never thought of before. These new inventions sparked a major desire for new machines. This desire led to many new prototypes and later, way more improved machines. Throughout this era, the actions made during this time designated a new regime, and a quickening in the improvement of machines.
The Enlightment started these new ideas to be pondered upon which led to new ideas. The knowledge from this era fueled the men for the years to come. Romanticists, during this time, used this fuel to extend everyone’s thoughts on nature, emotions, and more realistic arts. However, the romanticists believed that the Enlighment was really suffocating them and creating a unequal society. The romanticists believed that the growing society should be based from human decisions. The modern day knowledge is now improved greatly from this

The scientific method is a procedure a scientist uses to predict a hypothesis, then collecting data, and finally describing if your hypothesis was incorrect or correct. This procedure greatly assisted these scientists into a way easier version of experimentation. The scientific method also led to new advancements. For example, it led to advancements in agriculture (seed drill), which then led to new machines during the industrial revolution. This method is still used to this day for scientists and a majority of our society.
From romanticists to the industrial revolution, the ideas and machines from this era fueled the modern society today. These ideas and machines are still in use today also. In fact, the scientific method is the procedure all scientists use to assist them with their experiments that could possibly start another evolution of another machine. Throughout the 1800s, men sparked up new inventions and ideas that led to the ‘birth’ of the
Back in the 18th Century everything was moderate and things were not as advanced as they are today. Most people had to do things by hand or some did have machines, but they would still have to be use their hands to control it. But one man saw that all this can change while he was working one day. And he became famous for his invention and from that point on he changed the way machines were made.
The scientific method is a cyclical and self-correcting process that involves several steps. Observations and collecting qualitative and quantitative evidence are important to make predictions and to develop a theory.
The contrast of beliefs between the Enlightenment and the Romantic Era is intense. They have complete opposite beliefs on most aspects minus their support of independent thinking and growth. In Life Magazine, it was said that, "There, is no truth, said the Enlightenment, which cannot stand the test of reason". The Enlightenment was all about sense over sensibility; people thrived for further knowledge with everything they could. On the other hand, the Romantic Era was very much focused on the imaginative part of knowledge. Carol Ferguson, a professor at Richard Stockton College, states in one of her lectures, “The logic, ordered, rational was gradually replaced with the magnitude of the imagination, the possibilities of intuition, the importance of the emotions, and the uniqueness of the individual”. Romanticism allowed people to deviate from the constrictions of strictly “logical” thinking of the Enlightenment and concentrate on the emotional and imaginatively curious side of learning. So while both periods started off focusing on learning new things and advancing society with knowledge, they had d...
The evolvement of technology from in the past to today has changed drastically. There are things that people used to do for jobs that they can not do because of the evolution of machinery. These machines do exactly the same thing as what the worker would do but in only half the time. These evolutions of technology are not just with machinery; it has also evolved in other areas such as electrical, chemical, and other physical forces. These tools of machinery that society uses has only happened because of the growth of scientific principles. People learn a lot about these tools and try to find ways to improve them. The study and understanding of these tools increases control by humans over labor processes by means of machines and machine systems.
Scientists make progress by using the scientific method, a process of checking conclusions against nature. After observing something, a scientist tries to explain what has been seen. The explanation is called a hypothesis. There is always at least one alternative hypothesis. A part of nature is tested in a "controlled experiment" to see if the explanation matches reality. A controlled experiment is one in which all treatments are identical except that some are exposed to the hypothetical cause and some are not.
The scientific method is the analyzation of evidence, to examine a case from every angle possible, to not give up on an investigation until all of the angles are covered and to not allow personal emotions create a bias in their mind (Osterburg 2010). A scientific method example would be when an investigator arrives to a crime scene, they would first search the area for clues and see if something doesn’t seem right. Next they would have to search for different forms of evidence, most important would be trace evidence because it can provide DNA evidence which can also link a suspect to the crime. There are many more ways evidence and other clues can be harvested from a crime scene but it is up to the investigator to use their knowledge and help find the person responsible for the crime
Industrial Revolution, which took place over much of the nineteenth century, had many advantages. It provided people with tools for a better life; people were no longer dependent on the land for all of their goods. The Industrial Revolution made it possible for people to control nature more than they ever had before. However, now people were dependent on the new machines of the Industrial Age (1). The Revolution brought with it radical changes in the textile and engine worlds; it was a time of reason and innovations. Although it was a time of progress, there were drawbacks to the headway made in the Industrial Revolution. Granted, it provided solutions to the problems of a world without industry. However, it also created problems with its mechanized inventions that provided new ways of killing. Ironically, there was much public faith in these innovations; however, these were the same inventions that killed so many and contributed to a massive loss of faith. These new inventions made their debut in the first world war (2) ).
To understand how Romanticism changed the way society thought, you must first understand the meanings and reason behind the movement. The Romantic Movement in the late 18th and early 19th centuries was described as a movement in the history of culture, an aesthetic style, and an attitude of mind. (Fiero) Romanticism provided expression of their thoughts and ideas toward their own societies, which was in effect predominantly in Europe and in the United States. The movement was a reaction to the Enlightenment which provided strict ideology and rationalism. The Church had much to do with the Enlightenment seeing as if religion and the importance of God were incorporated into most aspects of their culture. Thus, Romanticism was a response to the Enlightenment Movement and their religious ideology.
Scientific method consists of five steps: observation, hypothesis, experiment, conclusion and scientific theory. You must identify your problem when doing observation. Second you must gather as much information about the problem as possible. Third you want to form a hypothesis. A hypothesis is an unproved explanation for a natural event. Based on observation a hypothesis is a scientist best explanation. One reason why hypothesis is so important is because it is the comparison for experimental data. Next you have experiments, which is basically testing ...
In conclusion, the scientific method is a set of techniques used by the scientific community to investigate natural phenomena by providing an objective framework in which to make scientific question and analyze the data to reach a conclusion about that question. Therefore it can be done many different
The preceding Enlightenment period had depended upon reason, logic and science to give us knowledge, success, and a better society. The Romantics contested that idea and changed the formula...
The industrial revolution that started in Britain in the early 18th century brought us many scientific breakthroughs. The mechanization of the cotton textile industry reducing the need for manual labor, new iron making techniques, the introduction of steam powered machinery combined with improved transportation methods led to the expansion of trade in Europe. This was the result of technological progress in many different fields coming together and not just one invention. These scientific breakthroughs laid behind the West’s leap in
Social Consequences: Although the Industrial Revolution caused a drastic increase in the industrial production, the impact was not as positive socially. The two most significant social consequences of the First Industrial Revolution are the impact on the families and the hardships of relocating to find employment. In the first 60 years of the Industrial Revolution the quality of life for many people decreased.

... It was all about progress, political correctness and it was very controlling in the area of how people lived their lives concerning many matters. By embracing the ordinary and unknown of human existence, the romantics overthrew the limitations that were seen in the Enlightenment. Defining Romanticism is not easy as there was not a particular dominate set of beliefs nor were the styles in literature and art the same. It was a time to be yourself, to let out whatever type of personality that was within. The modern world has Romanticism to thank for much of the way we live today concerning ideas, values, love, dreams and beliefs. It’s worthwhile to mention that both era’s consisted of varieties of thought, much like it is today. We are better off today because of men like Isaac Newton during the Enlightenment and for the Romantics teaching us how to be free thinkers.
