The American Revolution was an important event in the United States, it is know as the war for Americans trying to gain independence from the British. Americans fought to change the way they were being ruled, thus deciding to go against them to get the rights they wanted. The colonists, in the end, did change the way the United States was even though their expectations came out differently, it also did not transform the colonies radically. The American revolution wasn’t as uprising as most think it was due to, the minimal rights to the citizens, the unbalanced economic structure, and the limited representational governmental status.

From this American Revolutionary war, the colonists did achieve independence from the british but they were still unjust to the rights of some certain citizens like the African-American, women, Native Americans. The declaration of independence declares that all men are created equal and have rights that cannot be taken away, yet the blacks were not treated as stated (Doc 2).
