Clive Barker, Author of Thief of always, tells us a story about a Boy named Harvey who sees his life gray and boring until he is introduced to a magical Holiday Home in which he goes on an adventure defeating the time thief of Hood.Ms. Griffin's three cats reveal secrets that form a bridge of care between Harvey and Ms. Griffin. Because the cats did reveal the secrets and cause Ms. Griffin and Harvey to spread their care to each other, they were a major reason that Harvey defeated the Vampire King, Hood.

Clue-cat discloses a deep secrets of Ms. Griffin. That forms an unexpected relationship between Harvey and Ms. Griffin. Harvey meets Clue-cat on an occasion in which he jumps on top of a pan filled with boiling water and a few moments later he is left dead on the ground. When Ms. Griffin comes back in she seems sad, but does not cry, this reveals that she can’t cry. Griffin and that Harvey does too. Stew-cat really cares for Mrs. Griffin to be well and happy. Stew-cat is leading Harvey to Mrs. Griffin. “He might have declined to descend had Stew-Cat not hurried on past him, down into the murk. ” (pg. 82). Here Stew-cat is leading Harvey to Mrs. Griffin. It says that Stew-cat hurries past Harvey. That probably means that Stew-cat is really anxious to get to Mrs. Griffin. Harvey cares for Mrs. Griffing, so he tries helping her escape from the coffin she was put in. Harvey is trying to get Mrs. Griffin out of the coffin. Harvey says, “ "Mrs. Griffin!" he whispered, digging his fingernails under the lid. "Mrs. Griffin? Are you in there?"”(pg. 83). Harvey digging his fingernails under the lid means that he is very desperate to get to Mrs. Griffin and see if she is okay. This means he cares about Mrs. Griffin. Both Harvey and Stew-cat really care about Mrs. Griffin being alive and well, or
