Gay Gene
Imagine living in a world where you were told that you could not be with the one you loved because they were the same sex as you, or imagine heterosexuality was not normal where homosexuality was the normal thing to see, imaging being heterosexual in that world, would they want you to marry someone out of the social norm, well for the answer look at society today where only heterosexual couples can get married. Imagine society telling you that your actions were wrong and immoral would you want to be told that being heterosexual was in your genes? Would you want to be classified as heterosexual and nobody knowing your name just knowing you for the sexual orientation that you have?

Homosexuality is an ethical debate some people see it as a moral choice others see it as a moral debate between right and wrong. It boils down to if you believe everyone has equal rights, or if the other person believes in the bible, if they do they believe in some of the key verses about Sexuality. Leviticus 18:22 says “You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman; it is a detestable act”. The law does prohibit all homosexual acts, it does not matter if the acts were consensual. Leviticus 20:13 says “If a man has sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman, the two of them have committed an abomination. They must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves”. These verses are just from the Old Testament. The New Testament has Romans 1:20-32 it states “For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse. (21) For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened. (22) Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools (23) and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles. The brain is not as hardwired as we thought, but we know that the brain is “plastic and flexible and able to recognize its self” (Harrub, Thompson, Miller). Northwestern university did a study on the twins and they found that “56 pairs of identical twins, 54 of fraternal and 142 non-twin brothers, and 54 of adoptive brothers” (Harrub, Thompson, Miller). They found that “52 percent identical twins were homosexual men. 22 percent of fraternal were likewise homosexual, 11 percent of adopted were homosexual, 9.2 percent of non-twin biological siblings were homosexual, 48 percent of identical twin women were homosexual, 16 percent fraternal were likewise homosexual, 6 percent female were like wise homosexual” (Harrub, Thompson, Miller).
