While many people are satisfied with these laws because they are protecting the traditional idea of marriage, other people, both homosexuals and heterosexuals are saying that these laws are not only unjust, but unconstitutional. Many people can not understand why homosexuals a... ... middle of paper ... ...tment to each other; it is also a business union that comes with certain stability and benefits. Just because homosexual marriage does not fit in with our traditions doesn't mean it's wrong. Homosexuals are different, but different doesn't mean inferior. Homosexuals want to be treated with the same fairness and equality as everyone no more, no less.
Or maybe they were a couple of letters of the same sex engaging in a homosexual relationship. A “W” is two “V” s in a civil union, but the world is not ready to flip that on its head and let them go for the big “M” (Kintz). Not only does some humans have a problem with individuals being gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people also has an issue with same sex marriage. Love and marriage shouldn 't have a gender to it, because love just happens. People shouldn 't sacrifice their happiness in marrying someone who doesn 't make them happy just to be accepted and not be judged.
They may know that being a homosexual is going against Gods word but they also know that the Lord says that one should love all no matter what circumstances. Calling homosexuals offensive names is just as offensive as from public displays of affection from homosexuals. Of course I for one do not fin any kind of this public display offensive but some might. So if some want the respect to get homosexuals to keep their proclamation of loving one another private then they have to stop the name calling and violence. Homosexuals are just as human or Christian as anyone may be so that is more of a reason to love them.
Many heterosexual couples fight and have divorces but no one questions what effect that has on children, so why homosexual couples? Same-sex marriage is a new take on marriage, just as religion, society, and culture all evolve, so do the ideas of marriage. Not everything can stay “traditional” forever. Same-sex may be an attack on traditional marriage, and the normalcy of life but it should be accepted and legalized because faith and morality should not play a role in politics, it is discrimination towards a group of people with different beliefs, and it is a human and constitutional right.
People’s different values and morals play a role in defining what they believe. Many people find homosexuality to be not natural, and it goes against many people’s views. However, there is also a lot of people who argue in favor of homosexuality and find nothing about it unnatural. For those people who do think it is not natural they normally use the argument that this kind of sex can not reproduce, therefore it is not right because the point of sex is to reproduce. Many times the Bible will also be used to refer to verses that condemn acts of homosexual sex.
Homosexuality is not a disease; people do not call in sick because they are feeling 'gay'. We all know people oppose homosexuality because in their view, it would give society’s and the law’s imprimatur to a deviant lifestyle. Fortunately for people like me and my generation, those numbers will diminish with time and the oppression of homosexuality, being a widespread concern, should not be tolerated on any level. Homosexuality should not be comprehended as a threat to others, while homophobia is far from the lone reason for resistance. I think one must widen the aperture and look at homosexuality in a context of a much larger cultural conflict over the nature of family, of marriage, and even in adulthood: a debate over what it is that constitutes, and should constitute, the template for “normal” in all of those countries.
A gay person is no diffe... ... middle of paper ... ...y should someone be denied the right to get married just because they are gay? Why shouldn’t someone marry who they want just because some has a personal or moral issue with it from their beliefs. To me that is not morally fair to judge someone, how can someone preach about morals and say god don’t judge but that what they are doing to others judging. Gay people need love too, they cannot help the fact that they fell in love with a person of the same sex as they are love is uncontrollable. From a Christian point of view you know that God has planned out your life before you even started your life.
Homosexuality expresses a desire for the same respect, love, and commitment that is shared within heterosexual committed, relationships today. Through time, sexuality has been pulled back in forth, both with the government as well as with religion. The strict boundaries that are placed upon what homosexuals can and can not do are destroying their lives. There is a constant desire for acceptance, among those whom are against homosexual love, which decreases the availability for equal rights amongst homosexuals. Homosexuals are no different that ordinary people, they just have a different sexual preference.
What I think about that is that I think it’s very wrong and people do not realize that being gay is very hard, and they can’t be put in their shoes to see how it is. The whole problem is that people of different aspects or view have been discriminated because of what they believe in and what they want to act in. So what I want to say is that homosexuals should have the same equal rights and the same amount of freedom as straight people because in this world it does not matter who, what you are, but it does matter how you contribute to this world and how people make it a better place.
This could start so many new problems but solve many. It could make the country a more loving and open place to live rather then a place that just neglects. For instance, some people don’t care about gays. Maybe because everyone deserves the right to be who they are and who they ought to be. One of the main issues on why gay marriages shouldn’t be legalized around America is because same-sexual intercourse is going against Gods beliefs of god and how the world was intended to be through his perspective.
