Once long ago, a noble family from a branch off the Seelie Court married their daughter Elnisreth to a kind young man from the Unseelie Court named, Kalel. Their bond now celebrated by both Courts in hopes to bring their people closer together. However, the Unseelie Court's Elders had other plans. The new couple started their lineage in Nemaria. Where Elnisreth's family were the care takers of this vast beautiful land for decades. The now Queen was more than beside herself with happiness as her husband seemed to enjoy in lavishing his new wife with gifts. This was a ploy to keep the naïve Queen busy while Kalel and his personal guards formed a plan to let Nemaria rot. The King had already formed an alliance with the Demon King of West Cliff Pass. The Pass was the border to the land of Demons which no Fey ever traveled too. How Kalel became chums with these foul beasts, only the Unseelie Court knows. After three years the King's plan would now be set in motion. The Elven guards out at the border killed by the Demons that flooded the land. The take over was quick and blinding since no one saw it coming. Soon, the Demons were inside the walls of Nemaria's castle. What guards survived the ferocious attack took to guarding the door into the castle as a last step to protect their King and Queen. However, King Kalel walked out to greet the Demon King, Thyis. They shook hands and smirked at each other at a job well done. The guards along with their pregnant Queen horrified at the sight. The Queen stepped out to confront her husband as the King spoke to the Demon Lord. The only reaction she got from her beloved was a smile, wave of his arm, and two Demons that came from behind the Demon King who grabbed hold of her arms. The Elven guards... ... middle of paper ... ...r Queen had started a freedom fighter group. Which included a lot of the towns people in their effort to take back the castle and free their land from these Demons. The elven guards have already contacted the Seelie Court's Elders and told them what has happened. However, their hands tied since they have signed a treaty with the Unseelie Court on the day of Elnisreth and Kalel's marriage. There's suppose to stage an investigation into the matter, but without proof that Kalel's acting in favor of the Unseelie Court. The Seelie Court can't lift a finger to help Nemaria. Lerth and Tirial are safe for now. The Freedom Fighters have their work cut out for them to find proof of Kalel's orders from the Unseelie's Elders. And, the Demons it seems are here to stay. Are you going to help the Freedom Fighter? Or, are the Demons going to continue poisoning the land of Nemaira?
... husband King Hjorvard to rebel against King Hrolf. With her magic King Hrolf was killed along with his forces. So the story ends on a sad note due to the fierceness of a diabolical queen.
Long ago, in a far flung corner of the world, laid a colossal kingdom, ruled by one of the most powerful and wise kings and queens of that era, the kings and queens were esteemed by everyone, even the richest people honored them because of their dignity and honesty they were admired by every ruler of that era. They had a daughter, Alicia and a son, Peter who loved their parents, but those children were extremely ignorant and rude towards their grandparents.

“A peace-weaver was a woman who would be married to a person from an enemy tribe in the hopes of ending a feud” (Yewdaev). The role of women in Anglo-Saxon culture was simple: to settle arguments through arranged marriage. However, Grendel’s mother did not follow similar principles. Instead of arriving at the mead hall ready to make amends and to settle Grendel’s dispute, she returns bloodthirsty and yearning for revenge. Another part that women in the Anglo-Saxon period undertook was that of a cupbearer. “So the Helming woman went on her rounds, / queenly and dignified, decked out in rings, / offering the goblet to all ranks, / treating the household” (Heaney 620-623). Cupbearers served the purpose of passing around cups of mead around to the men until they were all drunk and merry. Grendel’s mother’s independence and lack of subordination to men in the culture epitomizes the contrast she faces with other women in the era. Her attack is surprisingly more impactful than all of Grendel’s together, even though she only delivers a single fatality. Rather than taking out a random drunk guard, she goes straight for Hrothgar’s favorite advisor. “To Hrothgar, this man was the most beloved/ of the friends he trusted between the two seas” (1296-1297). Evidently, coincidence or not, her attack on his advisor was immensely powerful, and contradicts the passive,
The elements of courtly love operate at several levels simultaneously in The Knight of the Cart; they are expressed by the behaviors of Lancelot, Queen Guinevere, Meleagant and other characters in the story. Two vividly deployed elements are the concepts of loyalt...
The author notes that the King at an early age relied mostly on his mentors for knowledge and advice, notably two of which were councils of elders. The King’s entire life and on matters of decisionmaking was under the influence of these elders and from members of the court. The effects of overreliance on the need to make a decisive decision is witnessed when the moment to plan the escape, the King ponders and waste a lot of time in thinking and going over the idea of evading. The King took much time that Marie and Fersen had already begun planning for the escape long before the king had already given the consent for such an idea. Marie’s plan was underway and was schedule on May but the King’s nature of indecisiveness led to his postponing of the due date. Timothy Tackett notes down that the King does not just postpone the escape once but six times. These acts of postponing the escape finally end as he decides on the twentieth of June as the eloping day. The author yet again argues that if the family had left earlier on agreed dates their chances of a safe gateway would be higher and less risky. The King’s decision on postponing and prolonging the escape paved way for a chance that led to the conspiracy to be

The Knight begins his tale with the story of a prince named Theseus who married Hippolyta, the queen of Scythia, and brought her and her sister, Emelye, back to Athens with him after conquering her kingdom of Amazons. When Theseus returned home victorious, he became aware that there was a company of women clad in black who knelt at the side of the highway, shrieking. The oldest of the women asked Theseus for pity. She told him that she was once the wife of King Cappaneus who was destroyed at Thebes, and that all of the other women with her lost their husbands. Creon, the lord of the town, simply tossed the dead bodies of the soldiers in a single pile and refused to burn or bury them. Theseus swore vengeance upon Creon, and immediately ordered his armies toward Thebes. Theseus vanquished Creon, and when the soldiers were disposing of the bodies they found two young knights, Arcite and Palamon, two royal cousins, not quite dead. Theseus ordered that they be imprisoned in Athens for life. They passed their time imprisoned in a tower in Athens until they saw Emelye in a nearby garden. Both fall immediately in love with her. Palamon compares her to Venus, and he prays for escape from the prison, while Arcite claims that he would rather be dead than not have Emelye. The two bicker over her, each calling the other a traitor. This happened on a day in which Pirithous, a prince and childhood friend of Theseus, came to Athens. Pirithous had known Arcite at Thebes, and on his request Theseus set Arcite free on the promise that Arcite would never be found in Theseus' kingdom. He now had his freedom, but not the ability to pursue Emelye, and lamented the cruelty of fate...
