The Daimler AG corporation was formed in 1926 by the two founders Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.This company is dated back to as far as 1886 whereby Karl Benz created the first Mercedes vehicle which was also the first gasoline powered motor vehicle and Gottlieb Daimler created a stagecoach whereby petrol could be added in 1887 and hence the two brilliant engineers decided to go into a partnership to create this now large organization Daimler AG.
The headquarters of this corporation is in Stuttgart,Germany and has shares in various other companies such as Tesla motors,Renault-Nissan Alliance,Serra just to mention a few.

The production of the first Lexus took place in 1983 under a special project known as the F1 which created the first LS version of the vehicle which today is the competitor to the Mercedes S class as well as the BMW 7 series and Audi A8.The idea to come up with the Lexus brand was brought about because Toyota wanted to expand its target market which was mainly focused on normal day to day vehicles and therefore the company wanted to expand into the luxury market industry so as to create a new market segment as well as give its loyal customers the opportunity to be able to purchase a luxury brand under its name.
