Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump The candidates for the 2016 election are republicans Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and John Kasich. The democrats are Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. There were many other candidates, but along the way they have dropped out of the race. The two candidates that are in the lead are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Everyone has their own opinion about the two candidates in the lead. Hillary Clinton is in the lead of the Democrats and Donald Trump is in the lead of the Republicans. The twelve key issues are education, guns, healthcare, immigration, jobs and wages, marijuana, social issues, taxes, Israel, Iran, Islamic state, and trade. Some of the twelve key issues are more important than others. For example, Hillary Clinton wants to “make community college free and allow students to attend public four-year colleges debt-free” (Wellford and Desjardins). This is a very large key issue because who would not want college to be free? Some people believe that this is not a good idea, but others think it would be a great investment. According to Wellford and Desjardins, Hillary Clinton wants to make it where certain weapons are banned. She also wants to make sure that when someone purchases a gun they have to go through a background check with no loopholes (Wellford and Desjardins). Everyone has their own opinion about gun control and how it should be dealt with. Another one of the twelve key issues is healthcare. Many people do not think that Obamacare is doing any good, but others support it. Clinton wants “expand Obamacare” (Wellford and Desjardins). Expanding Obamacare could be good or bad. Immigration is a very large key issue. Hillary Clinton believes that immigrates have a right to be here so she wants to “waive deportation and expand them.
