Sports are a key part of everyone's childhood. Early sunday mornings at the soccer field or cold nights at the hockey rink. Everyone should play sports because it helps build cooperation and work ethic but also maintains fitness and provides a fun activity. During childhood its very important to build these characteristics. What I'm here to tell you today is that sports are necessary in kids but you shouldn't stop after your a teen or after little league ends, sports should be played by everybody at least all the way through high school. As a person who loves sports and plays sports daily I think it is something that everybody should be able to enjoy.

Students learn work ethics that carry over from the field to the classroom, for example teamwork. Sports teach you how to work with those around you. Another example is time management, on those nights you have a ton of homework you need to know how to split it up and get it done.According to MUhealth.com sports require memorization and repetition, which help students in school. Athletes also have to have a minimum gpa at most schools which requires them to stay focused on school so they can stay on the team. Depression is much less likely in kids who play sports. That's true because sports build relationships that last for life, on a good team everybody gets along and becomes friends. According to MU health sports improve self esteem because watching hard work pay off is a confidence booster. People also discover they are good at things that they didn't know they were good at, and self esteem is also boosted because sports improve physical health. School won't be as depressing either because sports give you something to look forwards to after the school day is over. I love game days because I know after school I have something fun to do, it honestly makes school much easier. More friends, better grades, healthier lifestyle and lots of fun are all things sports can offer
