I envision high school as an essential stepping stone for everyone. The era where every individual lacks the complete confidence in defining who they are or what they want to be. The four years of high school was the moment and opportunity to seek the interests that stood out to me the most. The experiences you make and the people you associate with are a crucial part of finding yourself.
High school is a time in your life that at the time you think is the worst part in your life, but will later find out, that it is the best time in your life. Unlike my fellow senior classmates, I have come to the realization that I will miss this “shitty” place we call school. High school is a mixture of 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 year olds. Unlike elementary and middle school, in high school, all students are mixed together. To me, high school is a time in your life to figure out who you are, who your friends are, and to make memories. I love high school and will miss every minute of it next year when I am off in college, alone. O Bentworth Senior High School.

High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Being able to talk and communicate writing and verbally this is where English comes in. All things that I needed to do in everyday
In middle school I have participated in as many school activities as I possibly could. First of all, in 6th and 7th grade I was part of Student Council. In Student Council we worked on projects to improve the school, participated in community service, and fundraised to help others. One project I took a big role in was the Olympia recycles project. Secondly, I have been part of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for 2 years now. Members of the National Junior Honor Society were chosen based on their outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. In NJHS we organize a lot of fun events that will interest others and we do
Junior High is a very stressful place to be. There are many teachers who inspire you and are nice to you, but you have been the teacher to stick out the most to me(in the most amazing way, of course). You always make sure I am ok and if I am not then you sit down with me and give me advice on what to do. I have never had a teacher do that for me before. An unknown person once said, “The best teachers teach from the heart. Not from the book.” That quote reminds me so much of you because this whole school year I have seen that you truly do care about your students and their well-beings.
Would you say you were in love as an adolescent? Teenagers can be in love. They can be in love because many people have wedded and stayed with their senior high boyfriend or girlfriend. Also it is beneficial to be in a serious relationship at a young age. In senior high, couples go through a lot together so they are stronger as a couple. Adolescents can be in love despite the fact that people may not think they are mature enough.
High school can be defined by new experiences and responsibilities along with a newfound sense of freedom. High school for me was defined as the time where I lost my sense of appreciation for any area of literacy. See, in high school, you are introduced to a variation of every subject. For example, Science now broke off into the sectors such as Biology and Chemistry. The same did not apply for English, though.
High school is said to be one of the most important times in your life; where you will make lasting memories before you go to college. For most people, this probably includes going to football games on Friday nights. I am not an exception to this. I loving going to football games and hanging out with my friends, but I have missed more than a few of those games, including the last game of my senior year. I was busy preparing for Saturday. On that day, I would run the last cross country race of my life. It was the state championship.
In high school, students always have to make the decision of what their future has to be. As they determine their future, they also have to determine what their major will be in college as well as what college they want to go to. College can help you open many doors in life, but also, it can also close some doors if it the major or the future does not fit for them.
High school senior students have the most difficult year then other grade levels since they have activities and the mandatory senior paper. Do you think that students in high school have as much fun as they tell their parents when they get home at the end of the day? High school has been known as “hell” to many students from freshman to seniors in high school. Students don’t tell their parents as much as they should now, then before the twenty first century. Since the tennagers wont tell their parents, most all of high school students struggle to keep their grades up during their senior year. The senior papers should be tampered with throughout all high schools because this transaction would let seniors deal with less stress, and less
During my senior year of high school, while all my classmates discovered their dream schools and committed easily, I struggled to find my ideal school. When I discovered Savannah College of Art and Design I thought I had found my perfect fit. Throughout grammar and high school, I had participated in the drama club's plays, as well as performed with the Charleston Stage Company, and when people told me that I was a good actress and enjoyed my performance, I began to think that acting might be my calling. Everyone strives to find their passion in life that drives them. I had trouble finding that devotion, so I was elated when I thought I had finally found mine. With the thought of becoming an actress on my mind, I sought out the drama teacher at school and asked him if he would provide me with acting lessons. A strength of mine is that when I commit myself to something, I commit myself fully and strive to be the best I can. As a child, perfectionism was
When I was in middle school, I thought high school was the coolest place on earth. The kids who went to high school took real classes, like English instead of block. They studied history, not social studies. And their science classes had recognizable names like biology or chemistry, not Fast I and Fast II. They could drive; they could see R-rated movies. They got seven minute passing periods and pop machines.
You can learn a lot about yourself in high school, from how you use your time in school to the after school activities you do. What you do, from a freshman to a senior, will determine what you want and can do for future careers. High school will challenge you in many ways, from organizational skills to time management skills. All the life lessons from high school can really tie into one category, time management.
High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
